The Event Center: Where Comfort Goes to Die (and Apparently, So Does Air Quality)
Third timeās the charm? Not at The Event Center. Iāve been here three times now, and this last visit was a full-on bleacher betrayal. I sat in the back ābleacherā section, which felt more like a punishment than a seat. The chairs? Narrow. Rigid. Zero leg room. Iāve had more personal space in a Spirit Airlines basic economy seatāand thatās saying something. My knees were in a hostage situation for the entire show.
And just when I thought the discomfort was the worst part, a random woman decided it was the perfect time to light up and smoke during the performance. Indoors. In 2025. I didnāt know Iād signed up for a comedy show and a lung test. The vibe was giving āunhinged speakeasy,ā not āprofessional venue.ā
The comedian? Hilarious. The Event Center? Needs a serious glow-up. Better seating, better enforcement, and maybe a reminder that smoking indoors is not...
