I am extremely disappointed in this ULTA location. I have been going to ULTA for 20 years, in four different states. I have always been excited when I move and find out there is an ULTA near by. This last experience was the worst cut and color I have ever had at an ULTA. I don't ever pay for the most experienced stylist at ULTA as I don't need to pay $400 for a cut and color by a senior stylist. I pay about $200.00 which has always been great. Where to begin... I moved from Summerville to James Island recently so this was closer and I was happy to hear there was a new ULTA that opened up closer to me. I scheduled and my new sylist was the worst I ever had. I'm not one that likes to be bombarded with chit chat when getting my hair done but she didn't speak at all. I informed her what I wanted when I got there, the cut, color, bc I have been going to ULTA for so long that after moving from state to state I asked my stylists in the past the color name and number she used on me every time as I always highlighted it the same so I thought it would be useful to know, hoping all ULTA's in each state had the same color and number. They always do, same as this place. I gave her specifics when there, I thought communication was set up at the beginning as I let her know exactly what I wanted and she never asked anything from me again as we proceeded. She was MUTE almost the entire time, unless I was asking questions to confirm.... I was not happy with my color, she finally spoke when I would inquire to her as the process went on, ... She just got hired to the new store opening after working at a Wal-Mart salon previously. I am not knocking this but at the same time, if I wanted a Wal-Mart hair cut and highlights, I would have gone their and paid one third of the price for a Wal-Mart hair cut and color. I appreciate everyone who tries to move up in the industry by adding to their resume and moving up to better places, my annoyance is that I was the only one ever talking... Ever. From beginning to end, during four hours of a cut and partial highlight... The time was a bit annoying too. I've never been at a salon for four hours for that work to be done. Read moreVery disappointed and dissatisfied with recent buy online-pick up in store experience. I called the store 2 hrs after placing my order online to see if it was ready. This was my first time placing a BOPUS order and wasnt sure how long it would take, and my email did not specify. When I called the store I was placed on hold for 5 minutes, and ended up having to call again. When I finally spoke to someone about my order they were very dismissive and said the email told me it would be 4 hrs, which it did not say that anywhere. I selected this method thinking it would be quick for me to pick up on my way home from work. I was told it would be at least another hour before my order was ready and that I would get an email when it was. I did not receive my email until 930am the next day. When I arrived at the store for pick up there were 2 associates at the front counter who did not greet me or acknowledge me as I waited by the sign for BOPUS pick ups. Read moreDO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU AREN'T WHITE I visited this location about 2 weeks ago and spent a good amount of money on makeup and skincare. I just read an article on Live 5 News web page that this location has been hit the hardest in stolen merchandise in the entire Charleston area. Now it all makes sense as to why this one particular worker kept following my daughter and I. She would appear like she was rearranging merchandise and only asked if I needed help because I was staring at her giving her the look I give everyone when I'm annoyed. She was overly friendly with other customers who weren't of darker shade. I didnt confront her because my 10 yr old daughter was with me and she wanted some items as well but I should've dropped everything and left. I will never SHOP at this location ever again.
