First time in to the West Ashley location this afternoon (8/19/18), right in the middle of the after church lunch rush, and I'm pretty sure I said at LEAST 4 times "This place runs like a well oiled machine." Everyone was friendly, the place had a great energy, the whole experience was fabulous. The kid with the nose bridge piercing took the time while he was busting out pizzas to explain to my daughter the purpose of a few of the tools; she was fascinated. The restrooms were clean and smelled lovely. The whole place was spotless. There wasn't a single worker lounging; it's like every one had a job to do and if they weren't in need at that moment, they found other work that needed to be done (ie bussing).
Hate to bring up the kid with the nose bridge piercing thingy but he seemed to be everywhere: he was cleaning the restrooms; he was bussing the tables; he was picking up trash; he was making pizzas. That's a seriously hard worker right there; my whole family commented on how great his work ethic seemed to be, the pride he exuded in a job well done. That's so rare to see these days, ya know.
The parking lot is ATROCIOUS (not Mod's fault, it's in a shopping center) so just be aware of that.
And they charge by the size, not the toppings, which the lovely girl cheerily explained to me. Everyone seemed to be in a great mood and happy to be...
Read moreI normally love going to MOD Pizza. The pizza crusts here are exactly as I like them. The service with this visit was not what it usually is, hence the 4 stars. The girl that took our order was very vocal about the amount of people coming in, she said "I'll never get to finish my milkshake now." Loud enough for customers to hear abd feel like an imposition. Then when we ordered our pizza, she told us they had no tomatoes. So we changed our pizza, proceded down the line, and lo and behold, tomatoes! By now the order had been passed to the next employee on the line and when my daughter said that she thought there were no tomatoes, the girl said, those aren't tomatoes. When she realized they were, she said they must have just been put out. They did look really fresh. We asked if we could go back to our originally requested pizza choice and we got the eye rolls and exaggerated motions of being a burden. Hey, we wanted tomatoes on our pizza, they had them, so what is the issue? The pizza was really good, the salad was fresh and filling and the resaturant was clean. We'll be back, as we really like MOD Pizza, I just hope next time the...
Read moreWas going once a week getting two 11 inch pizza . Last week even though I stood there in front of five people they where talking among them self like I wasn’t there . But it was Halloween and their young so I let in go . Then tonight went and ordered two pizzas both the same . I was thankful I didn’t get the female that had her hair to the side that was long and swinging her head over peoples pizzas and the toppings . It was really scary as no one corrected her or told her that her hair was getting pretty close to the food . But I think it was my mistake as the guy cutting pizzas calling names people where telling him that was the wrong pizza s . And because I didn’t check I got home with one of the pizzas not mine . The west Ashley mod pizzas is a lot kids and doesn’t seem to have adult there to train the staff . I don’t like ti complain and really liked it till last week . And the girl with the hair kinda makes me not want to go back . . I think several of us in-line agreed that the way her hair was swinging around that someone would end up with hair in our food if she...
