Our family has been going to this place ever since they opened here, and the only time it’s ever disappointed is when they put the toppings on while the donuts are still piping hot. Anyhow, I went tonight to get donuts for my daughter’s teachers and even though I had extra requests (one box per donut, please let the donuts cool off so the frosting doesn’t melt, etc.) and am certain that I sounded like a pre Madonna, the two kids working were beyond patient and kind to me. The boy’s name (who actually made the donuts and took my request politely to let them cool off) was Tyreke, and then sadly I forgot to get the girl’s name behind the register. She had one or maybe even two nose rings and was working this evening (March 1, 2022, at 6:30pm). Anyhow, she was beyond delightful as well and even offered up every topping possible when I said I wanted to get something “super chocolate-y”. It may seem small, but these two went out of their way to make sure that I got exactly what I wanted. Plus, let’s not forget that their donuts are freaking deelish! Duck donuts is the specialty taste and looks but at half the cost! I love getting these for work because they are just above and beyond the normal donut. While the texture may be more along the lines of a plain Love's donut, the added toppings are the best part. I always get at least a full dozen every time because it is the cheapest, less than $15!! How can you go wrong with that price! They also have the bacon maple glaze with bacon on top! That donut is a sure winner in our office. Sometimes they have specialty toppings like lucky charms. This week they had key lime flavors and I got two topped with graham crackers.
