I set out early this morning looking for a stylist who created braided styles. I started out with a phone call and nowadays you have to go online to book an appointment with many stylists today and I don't have a problem with that but I had an issue with booking because I needed to know ahead of time if the stylist could actually braid my hair as I have kept it short for many years and I did not want to pay a deposit and get there and they tell me they could not provide the service at the time and keep my deposit. I then got out, stopping by a couple of places that I have passed over the years, some had shut down and I wasn't quite satisfied with those I spoke to, having already prayed Lord let me connect to the right person. I tried to reach out to one salon Wednesday night by email which evidently did not go through then I began searching for the property and somehow missed it, actually sort of hidden. I started to dial the number of this particular salon and misdialed connecting to another salon and when I begin speaking to the owner, I knew then, that was the place I was supposed to be, was not disappointed, professional staff and peaceful atmosphere. I thank God for leading me to All African Hair Braiding & Weaving Center, my braided style is...
Read moreThese ppl don’t know how to run a professional business at all. If you see any reviews about lack of communication BELIEVE THEM. Cynthia made up lies had me believing I was gonna start working with them just for her to give me the runaround & ghost me for over a month. She even told me I was good to bring my work tools and a copy of my license to the shop but I had to go and get my stuff the next day. She told me she’d be in contact with me regarding next steps and had me waiting over a month. Even if they picked another candidate, I would’ve appreciated if she’d let me know that. There is no real business that operates this way. Even the ones who don’t get picked for a job are still given communication about the decision. I haven’t heard back in almost 2 months after she told me what was going on and how they’re behind. Why even be doing interviews if you’re not hiring? It’s just messy and unorganized.
It’s not that serious as there are hundreds of salons in Charlotte, but I would have not wanted my time wasted. I could’ve been working in another braid shop by now.
They are unorganized and unprofessional. I would...
Read moreThey are nice people but not very good at braiding. I paid 250 for goddess braids . The minute I got home, the curly hair started falling out, some of my natural hair was sticking out of the braids(had to fix this myself). they put so much hair on my head that my neck is hurting and I cannot even put the hair up in a bun or pony tail. I showed the picture of what I wanted and I did not get it. I was very specific with the hair style I wanted , I specified that I DO NOT want a bunch of braids in my hair as I workout a lot and I needed to put it up, they did the exact opposite. The braids are so bulky and bulgy. They were very careless with my natural hair, ripping it and pulling at it. So much for a “protective style”. I will be taking this down after only a couple days and will not be coming back. Waste of time and money, very...
