I didn't stay here, but basically toured the entire hotel, after purchasing my food at their bar. I wish I had gotten the woman's name, who was seating and helping to get the orders. She had a smile on and just made me want to.. It was Amazing. I wish I knew about the food sooner, bc I was ordering from the Marriott, (my 1st, 2 night stay in Charlotte, and 1st Biggest mistake, staying), Domino's, bc they told me there wasn't any place to get take out or anything, for that matter, around. I'm a Marriott timeshare holder and they were awful, rooms and most everything, were dirty, no food stalked, drinks, bar/food/laundry, closed, etc, etc. Most, I stated, most, of the staff were just rude! The hallways were Beautiful here, at the Holiday Inn, with pretty pictures, atm, bathroms, hallways, again LOL, lots, They were fully stocked with food and your simple needed items. They were so kind, to a woman checking in with her son, late, who was thirsty, so young and tired. Got her directly to her room and food. It was so clean and the staff, while waiting for my food, were extremely helpful and super nice, explaining where I was, about apartments nearby and around the area, dt me looking to move. I stayed next door at the HamptonInn and Suites. However, our wonderful shuttle driver, was telling a large group, the night bf I went over for food, dt my flight being missed, dt AA's personnel, as I sat outside getting air, to go over and check it out. I asked him and he told me to get myself over there fast. It was closed by that time. The Food was, the bar, may not have been?. Extremely professional staff, ordering was simple and effortless and the bar was great. Those chips are delicious😋. I got sliders, chips and Salmon. Excellent food and fast, friendly service. Extremely nice and Beautiful hotel. They own the one next door, I went into, Home2 Suites. That was immaculate, as well. The only pictures I got. Not the best. But I bet the rooms are pretty...
Read moreVisited as a guest in the hotel. I was hungry, but unsure about eating at the bar inside the hotel, as in other how's this font always go too well. The service provided by my bartender/server/greeter Ricky was excellent. His service made me feel like I was eating at a five star fine dining restaurant on Champs Ellyse. I just want to say that, in addition to a nice meal, we he had insightful conversation and positive vibrations. He had just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency. He recognized that we wanted time to visit, watch the tvs, and have a drink, did not rush me. He made sure I had everything I needed. The sweet tea he made was great. It taste it was made by a southern grandma on a hot summer day. I wish I had thought to stop by before I left to bottle some up and take it...
Read moreOne always appreciates restaurant choices while travelling but when the only restaurant is in walking distance was this one, your choice is made. Surprise, it turned out to be an excellent experience. After waiting a few minutes to be acknowledged, we chose a place to sit and was given superior service by our server. I apologize but the billing has only her last name listed, so Julie L. is a guess. She was spot on in patience, delivery and follow up during service.e.g. ice tea refill and water. The two salads with crispy chicken and sirloin strips were tasty, generous and fairly priced. A 15% off reduction on the bill was honored through a hotel partnership arrangement. Perfectly convenient for that overnight stay near...
