Location is good for the airport only, which you can hear through the exterior walls. Nothing else is really close by. Rooms were ok; some stains on the carpet and no box spring for the beds but what can you do. Service is very poor. Everyone acknowledged I booked a room with parking included. I was issued my digital key and checked in without being on site. When I arrived I saw signs everywhere about paying a third party for parking. I went to the front desk and was told that, despite my clear reservation and their clear notes saying there was no parking fees, I still had to pay parking. The clerk advised me to put comments on a survey because they always have to tell people this. I called the customer service number for Hilton Honors. They also acknowledged that my reservation included parking but said there was nothing they could do and that they could not resolve with the hotel. They did give me an incident number for the report that was filed at the corporate level. Lot of ways this could have been handled better 1) My reservation could have been honored and I could have been given a parking voucher code to waive the parking fee. False advertising is a crime. 2) Before checking me in remotely and issuing my digital key, someone could have called me after seeing that my reservation could not be honored and explained the situation. 3) The hotel could have paid the parking fee for me given the circumstances and details of my reservation, provided no voucher codes were available. Before I get the generic response telling me to call to discuss the issue, no. You have my number and I'm open to discussion on resolution and happy to update my review if everything can be resolved. At this point though, I'm done trying to make headway on this and think it better just to share my experience so that others can make informed decisions about where to stay. It isn't even about the fee; it is about my reservation not being honored and me not finding out until after I arrived and then charging me more than what I agreed to pay. And please, get some box springs for your bed. Unbelievable.

Hotel is being "updated" but still not what you expect from a Hilton group hotel. My door didn't shut correctly unless you slammed it shut (as well as several others on the 3rd floor). Elevator had electrical tape holding the floor lockout key panel in (see picture). Room was ok, debris on the bathroom floor when I checked in, hair, paper, etc. Some of the plugs in the room didn't work, coffee maker wasn't working. Reported coffee maker to desk to switch, they never did. Had to go down and switch it out the myself! Coffee was already out in the lobby 0730 one morning and had to wait for it. Stood at the front desk while the clerk read facebook before she even acknowledged me! Yes, I stood there and watched her look at facebook and comments! I was charged twice for my stay when I checked in under "pending charges" and my bank notified me about it as they thought it was possible fraud. So, I call the front desk to inquire and she says there wasn't anything she could do "but it should show back up after I check out in 3-5 days". Only had one decent experience at the front desk during my stay, the gentlemen that got me my coffee pot replacement! Everyone one of the others I encountered or spoke to could use customer service training, they all acted as if they didn't care and one of them even got an attitude! I can say myself and all of my colleagues that were there on business would not stay at this hotel again unfortunately.

BEWARE!!!! We stayed here before going to airport and we were one of 8 or more cars that were broken into, windows smashed, all before flying out?!?! Created major stress and problems for our family and many others!!!! When we asked the front desk if this happens frequently, they said no, yet the staff who they sent out to help all of the guests clean all the broken glass out of their cars and police who responded, said it happens ALL THE TIME!!! Police said they thieves are looking for guns. They targeted all trucks and SUVs, the truck next to us had a gun stolen. They need security!!! How can they continue to allow guests vehicles to be damaged and not do something to secure the premises??? This is negligent! We saw guest after guest come out to find their vehicles with smashed windows and robbed, all before they were traveling?!? HAMPTON INN/ HILTON needs to fix this issue and compensate all guests who had damaged vehicles!!!! Minimally they should be alerting guests to remove valuables from vehicles. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I had the worst am to pm, at CLT, dt American Airline's losing my carry ons🄲. My life was in them, including medicine and my phone. My pocket book, as well. NOBODY knew where they were, At All! Rude and yelling at me. I had to go through detectors,,w/a pacemaker. I finally got a regular phone, after 6 hours of searching. I had to call my mom, have her make reservations, as I didn't have my phone, had to rebook a flight home, bc missed, (none out, for 3 days). But I love NC ;) I knew where to call :). The Hampton Inn and Suites. I had stayed across the street, admiring it, when walking to get coffee, items I forget and some food, at the 7 Eleven, next to it, bc the Marriott was AWFUL! We own time shares through, are members and just a terrible experience, overall. So disappointing. Anyways, I Thoroughly LOVED MY STAY here! It was clean, Sooo comfortable and the Staff were SOOOOOOOO welcoming. They knew what had happened, (wish I got her name, at the front desk, actually 2), bc they went above and beyond, to make my stay more comfortable. They Always had a smile to greet me and anything that I didn't have, which was most, dt my bags being checked, flying to Boston Lol..), they had for you. Razors, etc.. Just ask and done!! Their room/area of needs, was always stocked, the breakfast was delicious. I actually got to make my own waffles and the flavor, I love. I was in heaven. Swollen, but at peace. I missed my eggos back home LOL. I had nothing, but the entrance made me smile. The mats. Outside and inside sayings. The driver, for the shuttle, during my stay, (again, wish I got his name), had a smile each day, like the rest, saying, "Good Morning or Afternoon/Evening", telling me where to get food next door, chatting, just Sweet. The woman who worked in the area for breakfast, was so Nice and cleaning like crazy. She works hard. They all do. I didn't know how to make my waffles, apparently you need to flip it over šŸ˜… and she was helping me. Brought my delicious breakfast, which they had tons of choices, (most of the hotels around didn't have anything open, just a wrapped muffin, dt covid and no help) and propped my feet up, ate and chilled. Apparently, I only had the clothes I wore, on that day and my 2nd Carry on, only had a few dirty clothes šŸ™ƒ. They had detergent, dryer sheets and a laundry room, open. Marriott's was "out of order". That was huge for me. Rooms were super nice and clean. Wish I had a balcony, but no big deal. I sat outside most of the day and night. Quiet and friendly people, walking by, if any. A short lil walk, to get some different drinks and snacks, and gel for burnt, Swollen feet, to the store. Gas, as well. The bathroom was super nice and clean. I loved the blue tape on the door. I was exhausted, so not noticing, or I should say, understanding, of why it ripped apart, when I opened the door. It was to tell you the room had been cleaned. Nice touch 😊. The rooms, I didn't get any pictures of, but knew I belonged, when I saw the driver pull in, with the Happy shuttle. I enjoyed seeing. Such a wonderful saying. Pics to follow. Not the best. I Sincerely Thank you All, for your kindness, help, Time, patience and smiles. They go above and beyond. My shuttle driver, who took me to CLT, leaving, got my bags out and showed me where to go. That airport is huge. She was tiny too. Idk how she lifted my bags, over packed, with NothingsšŸ˜„, but she did and I am grateful šŸ™. It was a definite, needed, beautiful rest, break and pleasure to stay. I'll be back, bc...

The taller, stockier African American woman working the front desk around 11pm-to-midnight on April, 21st 2024 was so rude that she made me cry. I was left stuck in Charlotte after a 8.5 HOUR international flight with a collective 2.5 HOUR (you read that right) delay in take off and deplaning. After standing in line to talk to an airline associate for 45 minutes, they let me know they couldn’t help accommodate me and that they wish me good luck. This was 10:30 at night. I was exhausted, starving, upset about being stranded, and just wanted somewhere to shower and sleep. I called Hampton ahead of time to ensure a room. The woman on the phone affirmed availability so I booked the single-bed room for $160 online. Grabbed a $16 Uber over since I was so tired and didn’t want to wait for a bus. When I arrived, I greeted the desk clerk with ā€œHi, I’ve just booked a reservation forā€”ā€œ She cut me off with ā€œWE’RE FULL.ā€ I said I’d just booked online and she cut me off again saying ā€œYou’re not hearing me. We’re FULL.ā€ Just a complete refusal to help. After me standing there looking stupid for a moment, she asked for my name to look up my reservation. I started to spit out that ā€œif it helps, I have a confirmation codeā€ and she started speaking down to me again, sternly and coldly, about how the company overbooks the hotel and how she now has to call around the other hotels nearby to see if they have rooms to accommodate me. She said verbatim ā€œI hate when they do this to me. Welcome to MY night.ā€ This interaction made me feel so burdensome and after having dealt with the unhelpful airliner and all the travel issues, being so tired and hungry and uncomfortable, I just stood there and started crying. She was supposed to ā€œwalk me overā€ to a neighboring hotel with a voucher, but she didn’t. She gave me the voucher, didn’t even call security, and sent me into the dark of midnight with two heavy bags to find my new hotel.

I am sorry that you hate your job so much. I am so sorry that you’re so underpaid for what you have to deal with, that you don’t feel pride in doing something so simple as treating someone else with grace. But I wasn’t deserving of the offloaded stress and disrespect. It made my day profoundly worse.

I am a long-time Honors member, basic level, but I always try to stay in any Hilton hotel. That will likely be changing due to this experience, and other hotel chains beginning to step up to...

I never write reviews but this hotel and its management and staff were so bad, I just have to warn others. They are a bunch of racketeers and treat you with scorn and rudeness when you try to complain. I spent one night here because of a flight cancellation, and checked out at 530 am the next morning thinking I had a plane to catch. But that flight was changed too and my trip was delayed till the afternoon. I called the hotel and asked the receptionist if I could go back into my hotel room despite having checked out. She said yes, but only until noon. I actually had a meeting I needed to join between 1230-230 pm, and so resolved to ask when I got back to the hotel if I could check out later than noon. When I got back later in the morning (I lingered at the airport trying unsuccessfully to get my suitcase), I asked the receptionist if I could stay longer than noon because I had some work to do. The receptionist, who must have been a different person than the one I spoke to on the phone, said I could stay as long as I wanted because her colleague had extended my booking. I thought that was very kind of them, thank you, and said I'd be leaving at 230 pm. When I then left at 230 pm and told the same receptionist that I was done with the room, thank you, she said oh don't thank us you paid for it. What? They had charged me a second night! They didn't ask, I didn't say yes they could. To the contrary, if they hadn't been prepared to let me stay in the room beyond noon I would have used a meeting room or the breakfast area or a lounge in the airport for my meeting. I said you can't charge me another night just like that and the receptionist rudely told me there was no point in arguing. She said she'd get the manager but she bet he would say the same. The manager came along and told me tough luck, we are charging you. We charge everybody who stays beyond the checkout time. They refused to budge and were extremely rude about it. I spoke to customer service at Hilton HQ and complained and they are looking into it. But whatever they manage to do I wanted to warn others about this hotel and its staff. And that's without even mentioning the fact you can't sleep in this hotel because it's right under the flight path of landing aircraft and the insulation in the windows is substandard. This hotel does not deserve to be in the...
