This is the worst Food Lion. They need Headquarters to come in and retrain their employees on providing excellent customer service, Publix does, Harris Teeters does as well. It's disgusting that they only had three self checks out, because some men I guess was working on the lights or something electrical through the ceiling, so three self checks outs were open, now I am visually impaired even though I may not look like it. I'm disabled and I sometimes have to take a minute to get through checking my products out, there was customers behind me patiently waiting, and one of the girl employees was standing kind of behind me, making loud enough to hear sighs, and I politely turned and tried to tell her that I was going to be a second, and before I could finish my sentence, she very rudely and unprofessionally told me that she ain't got time for me to be holding up the line, I politely told her that I wasn't holding up the line, and then she got verbally nasty, because I asked her for help? Everytime my husband and I have come to this store, which happens to be the local store in the community, we have encountered nasty tempered employees. We were spending a lot of money every month shopping, not anymore, we get so tired of the managers and the employees being nasty not just to us, but we've witnessed employees from this Food Lion treat other customers nasty as well. Hey Food Lion on Eastway Drive by Ross , you need to fire that employee the way she treated your customers, as well as the managers, too. This grocery store sucks. All of y'all suck as employees at this Food Lion, except for one employee who every time sees me and my husband is nice, polite, very helpful and just nice, you should make her manager instead, FR.FR. Id give this Food Lion ZERO stars, but One Star is the minimal. Oh, I will be calling HQ on Monday. Today is Friday May 31st, 2024. I will keep calling HQ until the nasty employee is fired. Come on Food Lion do better! Hire better skilled employees and managers...they are never showing professionalism. You should have someone from HQ go in as a regular customer as UNDERCOVER BOSS", on several different occasions and watch how customers are treated, not just by the employees, but the manager lady as well. Read moreI was at food lion about 530 on Monday 5/6/2024 The cashier O was handling me after 2 Latinos bought their coke and pedialite one left after payment as if he left something. She proceeds to handle me as she’s ringing up my things a guy come in to the customer service desk ask for tobacco products she leaves from checking me out to assist him in the middle of ringing in my groceries I’m assuming the manager comes out the door and tells her there is no drawer at customer service he has to get in line as there were only 2 checkouts open and a numerous amount of customers in line. After Wednesday attempting to cook the gnome I bought for $10.58 it wasn’t in the freezer my son put the groceries up so I then start looking, I removed everything from the car but have now notice the 2 for 6 French toast sticks a bag of chips weren’t there either. I called the store today someone answers and says all the manager are busy at 12:50 pm on Thursday 5/9/2024 I tell about me missing a bag of groceries from Monday and it’s urgent she tells me to hold on and hangs up which is my reason for leaving this review. Very unprofessional and shouldn’t be a customer service associate that’s a demeanor for someone to fetch carts in my opinion. Prices have went up extremely high and every Monday I buy things to hold us off each week ranging from $100-$200 depending on the weekly plans work schedules and doors needs of my household, now Harris teeter maybe a little more expensive on certain products but would’ve handled it completely more professional which is why the cashier isn’t attached to the customer service desk. only because I’ve always came here, and I’ve never experienced bad customer service, but this is the worse from Food Lion coming from a former employee, today’s date January 17 2024 cashier April on lane one at 7:16pm . where do I even start? Oh yes you didn’t greet me. You didn’t say hello. You had a full-blown conversation with the other person on the other side of your AirPod. That was your first mistake. Second, you try to tell me that I need to scan the sodas under my cart. I wouldn’t mind if you would’ve greeted me. But you didn’t so I told you isn’t this not your job you rolled your eyes push my cart to the side that had my child in it. Yeah you finally scanned it. Turn the soda can box over so you can see the barcode. you stepped away told your manager to finish the transaction. I asked your manager what was the issue and why didn’t you finish my transaction? I’m your customer I’m actually a former employee of Food Lion so I know what you have to do and what you shouldn’t do during a transaction. I come here all the time maybe seven times A week . i’ve been here since I was young and now that I’m an adult I’m still coming but now you’re going to make me rethink to come to Food Lion especially this one I was so disappointed you didn’t even greet me. You lost me at that which was your first interaction with me. Second, it was more important to be on the phone but yet you’re on Food Lion time. And it is very true that if you don’t greet your customer within the first five seconds, you already lose that customer and they might not even come back to your store.
