Get Some Game — Local services in Charlotte

I've been going to this store for a few months now and I have never once had a bad experience! I come nearly every Friday to participate in the weekly Friday Night Magic drafts, and usually also do the Saturday free standard showdown. The store itself is huge, and has two large gaming rooms, plus a second floor and an attached coffee shop, which is an awesome setup! Furthermore, the people there are amazing. As far as patrons go, I can only attest to the Magic: The Gathering players, but there's a regular crowd on the weekends and nearly all of them are very friendly, sociable, and a pleasure to be around. It's like a family, and they're always looking for more members! The staff is also a delight to interact with, and all of them are friendly, knowledgeable, and love talking with--and even playing with--the patrons. It really feels like there's a personal, genuine touch to everything about the store. The only thing I could possibly critique is the store's location. It's the only game store I've ever been to that is not within walking distance of at least one restaurant, and it makes doing long nights at the store (for things like FNM and Prereleases) a tad difficult. However, this is virtually completely out of the store's control--not to mention the store does have a couple vending machines with snacks and drinks--and the positives far, far outweigh this one small negative. Amazing group of people and an amazing family run shop. The owners Leon and Mary are such friendly and selfless people and make me feel so welcome every time I visit. Everyone is treated like family. A very safe and secure environment for all age groups. Great spot to hang out with friends as well as meeting new people in the community that love to play games.

The stock of card games from Yugioh, Pokemon, Magic, Vanguard, etc. are always up to date with the latest formats and new releases and are always plentiful for patrons to buy. They have it all. Special sneak peeks are held, as well as daily tournaments.

And for you Gundam fans, there is a wide variety of Gunpla model kits for sale as well. Anime figures and merchandise is also available. I guarantee that anyone's first visit, they will find something that they like. By far the best and only game shop in Charlotte!

It's really fun here. The people are nice, you get to play cards, and improve decks and strategies. You can buy cards and play them. They have all kinds of fun stuff even if you aren't into cards like arcade machines, ping pong, and various board games and collectibles. I enjoy playing Yu-Gi-Oh!, Cardfight Vanguard, and Buddyfight here. You meet new people and make new friends. There are many things to do and they even have tournaments and leagues for various card games. There most popular one is Magic: The Gathering.
