Chin Garden — Restaurant in Charlotte

Possibly the worse Chineese food I've ever eaten! To there credit the person that took my order was very nice and polite. I'm just working in the area and it was a cold day. Had been outside working for about 5 hours. Wanted some good hot food and wonton soup. To my surprise they only took cash for payment, but they do delivery I guess through some sort of app? Had to walk across parking lot to use ATM. Food came out quick and there where big portions. Got a combination meal entree with pork fried rice & eggroll and a pint of wonton soup. The food was real hot. Actually had to let it cool a little to eat. Food had strange flavor. Rice tasted weird. Wonton soup was brown!?!? Usually it's kind of yellow and chicken flavor. I guess it was supposed to be beef, but it tasted like dishwater. Combo with pint of soup cost just under $15. If I wasn't so hungry and short of time I wouldn't have eaten as much as I did. I've been eating here off and on since I moved to Charlotte 7 yrs ago. I normally like most of the foods. Last night I ordered a House special lo mein without pork, an order of chicken wings, and a Large egg drop soup. I'll start off by saying the lo mein was awesome. It taste great although it lacked enough of the proteins and the wings were good. The problem was the egg drop soup that was obviously not egg drop soup. When getting home I opened the bag to a egg drop soup that wasn't yellow at all and was almost clear with eggs floating in it and very thin. Upon tasting the soup it was clear they gave me chicken noodle broth with eggs dropped in it and it was purely disgusting. I would have rathered the tell me they didn't have it then give me what they obviously threw together. I work in the area figured this would be a great place to order since it was close. I call in my order no problem, it when I can to pick up my food is where the problem reside at. The restaurant unfortunately do not take card payment. We are living in the age where Card payment is the natural norm!!!! The fact that that’s your ONLY MEANA OF PAYMENT is quite ridiculous being that it’s 2022. Needless to say the whole $60 dollar order was happily left!!!! When trying to express to the young man up front he was extremely rude and further confirm that my choice for food today was a very bad decision...
