I’ve had my sofa from interior define for 15 months. Purchased with the premium weave fabric and the seams on one of the seat cushions had started to split. One would expect a custom sofa in a household of two adults to be able to withstand daily use. Now it’s to the point where the fabric is unraveling. I submitted a request via their website 10/24 for customer support to inquire about purchasing a swatch of fabric to have the cushion repaired at my own expense and a sales person contacted me 11/23. The sales person provided me with a quote to replace all cushion covers for roughly $530. I explained that I have no use for a full set of cushions and would like to either purchase the cushion cover I need or purchase a swatch. Apparently Interior Define’s standard is that because they are custom, they ā€˜can only produce full sets to ensure it fits perfectly’. I struggle comprehending that statement as the design of my sofa came from the option selection they offer through their designs. I’m not expecting warranty to come into play, but I’d just like a lower cost option to fix my $2300 sofa. Regardless, after 8 emails back and forth and my request to talk to someone not in sales, the sales person said they cannot sell a swatch of fabric and directed me to their general support email. The last thing I want to do is wait another 4 weeks for someone to contact me. I commend the sales person for their quick response time within that takt of 8 emails, although the discussion was incredibly drawn out. I’ve called their customer service today, as they offer customer support services 7 days a week per their website and left a voicemail since no one was available to speak to. With the way Interior Define promotes and markets their custom designs, their customer support should match their commitment that they claim. I would not recommend purchasing from this company.

I am revising my prior 5 star review to 1 based on how awful customer service is. We have loved our items and in store experience, but on our third big purchase (and waiting 3 months for arrival) we received one of four barstools damaged and unusable. The delivery company points to the store. The store points to customer service. Customer service doesn’t have a phone, email only and they’re outsourced to somewhere that only responds in the night every other day or so, week days only. Customer service tells me I can wait another 8-14 weeks for a new stool (so a literal half a year all in), keep the broken stool for a TEN PERCENT discount (it will cost more than this for me to repair it), or return the broken stool for a refund (so now I’d have 3 of 4 custom stools at my counter forever?) None of these options would make me reasonably whole after spending a lot of money on them and it doesn’t seem unreasonable that they work with me to fix the stool or provide adequate compensation. So now I’m sitting with 3 stools in a spot where 4 are clearly needed at the counter, with no solution from customer service that wouldn’t require me to spend more money. Extra unfortunate because we’ve spent so much with this company on multiple custom items only to be treated like idiots. Lesson learned. Too bad because the furniture is nice.

I bought a living room set at the beginning of May and still have no idea when it will arrive. This company is having major logistics issues. The CEO just sent out a mass apology email to all customers yesterday acknowledging their delays and ā€œlack of visibility in order status.ā€ I have requested updates- as I was told my order would be delivered at the end of August- and have not received a reply to my emails that were sent over a month ago. I would not recommend purchasing from this company. They are experiencing huge issues and who knows when or if I will ever get my order. The people in the sales room will say whatever necessary to make the sale but- coming from an existing customer with thousands of dollars in merchandise just up MIA right now- there is a huge lack of transparency and honesty and I wouldn’t do business with Interior Define ever again.

Edit: Please look at this company’s Instagram comments. Hundreds of customers are having these same issues. Do not give your money to this company. They are also offering to cancel customer orders if requested but beware- they will only refund you 50% of your money.

Response: I reached out to your Customer Care Corporate team via email on 10/27/2022 and never received a response as of 12/3/2022. It should not be the customer’s responsibility to do this much leg work to find out the details about their order.
