One would expect a custom sofa in a household of two adults to be able to withstand daily use. Now itās to the point where the fabric is unraveling. I submitted a request via their website 10/24 for customer support to inquire about purchasing a swatch of fabric to have the cushion repaired at my own expense and a sales person contacted me 11/23. The sales person provided me with a quote to replace all cushion covers for roughly $530. I explained that I have no use for a full set of cushions and would like to either purchase the cushion cover I need or purchase a swatch. Apparently Interior Defineās standard is that because they are custom, they ācan only produce full sets to ensure it fits perfectlyā. I struggle comprehending that statement as the design of my sofa came from the option selection they offer through their designs. Iām not expecting warranty to come into play, but Iād just like a lower cost option to fix my $2300 sofa. Regardless, after 8 emails back and forth and my request to talk to someone not in sales, the sales person said they cannot sell a swatch of fabric and directed me to their general support email. The last thing I want to do is wait another 4 weeks for someone to contact me. I commend the sales person for their quick response time within that takt of 8 emails, although the discussion was incredibly drawn out. Iāve called their customer service today, as they offer customer support services 7 days a week per their website and left a voicemail since no one was available to speak to. The CEO just sent out a mass apology email to all customers yesterday acknowledging their delays and ālack of visibility in order status.ā I have requested updates- as I was told my order would be delivered at the end of August- and have not received a reply to my emails that were sent over a month ago. I would not recommend purchasing from this company. They are experiencing huge issues and who knows when or if I will ever get my order. The people in the sales room will say whatever necessary to make the sale but- coming from an existing customer with thousands of dollars in merchandise just up MIA right now- there is a huge lack of transparency and honesty and I wouldnāt do business with Interior Define ever again.
Edit: Please look at this companyās Instagram comments. Hundreds of customers are having these same issues. Do not give your money to this company. They are also offering to cancel customer orders if requested but beware- they will only refund you 50% of your money.
Response: I reached out to your Customer Care Corporate team via email on 10/27/2022 and never received a response as of 12/3/2022. It should not be the customerās responsibility to do this much leg work to find out the details about their order.
