Moxie Mercantile — Local services in Charlotte

I love this store and everything in it the only reason I gave one leas star is because every time I go in there is an older man (maybe the owner) who follows me around asking what I want to buy or telling me every detail of each item I look at. Maybe it’s to deter people from stealing ? Or to encourage customers to buy things but I find it a little off putting and a bit invasive. It always makes me leave the store a lot sooner than I want to because I really love looking at everything and I always want to buy something but I’m always quite uncomfortable have a large older man looming over my shoulder... That said I still love the style and the merchandise and the space! It is totally my style I just wish I could actually browse long enough to actually comfortably buy...

This shop is a go-to. It's my favorite routine: grab a coffee from Giddy Goat, casually mozy past the old-fashioned fire station, and then land at the doorstep of Charlotte's cutest boutique.

I really prefer to shop local, but I also don't want to settle. Moxie is my answer. I can find the CUTEST gifts here -- housewarming, graduation, birthday...

There's a really wonderful selection of eclectic items, too. I proudly display a large faux "fish tank" on my bookshelf now full of ceramic fish and hippos. It spoke to my soul and I couldn't leave without it.

Also, the owner is a local mom, and she's just a really good person. It makes me happy to support her...

I can’t tell you how much I love Moxie! They have so many cute gift ideas, jewelry, bags, etc. I have become a huge fan of the Farmhouse Fresh facial masks, especially the Turmeric and Banana Tightening one. My husband has loves their cedar soap and flavored toothpicks. I also purchased the most beautiful marble and gold cutting board and locally crafted wood cheese knife and fork set.

There’s convenient parking in the back for customers at the Plaza Midwood location. The Davidson location, though smaller, has an awesome collection and free parking on the street and...
