I visited Thomas Street Tavern with a group of friends on last night. I ordered a blackened chicken salad but I did not eat so I placed my food in a to-go box. My friends and I went out on the patio and asked our waiter if he place the food in the back until we came back inside. He obliged. We went outside for a few minutes and returned inside and asked for the food because we were getting ready to go. They gave me a bag with a to-go box and we left. When I got home, I opened the box and realized it was not my salad I ordered. It was chicken tenders and fries. I immediately called Thomas Street Tavern and the phone was answered by Jeremy. I explained what had happened and this is where it went left. Jeremy proceeded to say, "so what do you want me to do about it" with a very nasty attitude. I tried to explain that I didnt get the food I paid for and needed the situation rectified. JEREMY HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME!!!! I called back and the phone was again answered by Jeremy. I tried to explain the situation again, and he again said, "so, what do you want me to do about it", "are you coming back up here". He was VERY rude and VERY unprofessional. I asked to speak to a manager. A "manager" came onto the line and I explained what had happened and my experience with Jeremy. She apologized and tried to rectify the situation. Jeremy, if you are reading this, please find another line of work where you do not have to interact with the public because you customer service skills are TERRIBLE! You were very rude. As a paying customer you are suppose go try and fix the issue, not cause further issues. I love Thomas Street Tavern and their food but this experience with Jeremy has left a bad taste...
Read moreFirst time here I didn’t have the best time. It was really busy and I was in a bad mood lol. Rolled up last night though, mainly because I wanted to play ping pong. And I got to do that, played a good game where I had to bust out my skills, it was fun. I won the game and rejoined my partner at the bar.
Then I had an awesome amazing vegan meal that I basically didn’t even ask for lol. I mean I wanted something to eat and I’d asked about the french fries. Bartender returned with the answer to my question: yes the fries are fried separately from the animal products. Score. Ordered that, closed out, tipped generously like everyone always should.
But a girl who works there but wasn’t working at the time, approached me and told me about the veggie club sandwich, that it’s a good vegan option as long as it’s made without cheese. I was like okay cool. My food took a minute to come out so I went outside for a cig. So like 5 minutes later I walk back in to see if my fries are up. They hand me a basket with the fries and uh oh—a sandwich.
Looked it over and was satisfied that it was vegan friendly. Then I killed it all and man did it hit the spot. I mean that sandwich rocked my world. And the fries were so hot and delicious. Really perfect, I can’t say enough good things about the food. But yeah I have to mention that the people are awesome. It’s really cool that they just hooked me up with that sandwich even though I didn’t ask for it.
Would not hesitate to come back for good drinks, food, atmosphere. They’ve got...
