Yikesā¦the current reviews arenāt telling the whole story. I think everyone is aware of how much of a debacle scheduling is and how difficult it was to even get an appt. That should have been my first sign. My friend and I were greeted warmly by a sweet girl at the front who showed us to a curtained off āroomā with two beds. The tiny place is like one of those salons where they have people renting out āboothsā but for different spa services owned by a bunch of different people with one āfront deskā but in this caseā¦front console table. Thatās why passion hair co isnāt on the sign out front, just FYI. After we changed into some towel dresses and were waiting for her to return, I noticed the bowl hadnāt been cleaned out from the prior clientās treatment and there was allll kinds of hair all in the bowl. Iām not talking about a strand or two, it was on every side of the bowl. You would think that would be the worst of the experience, but sadly it wasnāt. The girl at the front desk came to ask us some questions (strange that the ones performing the service werenāt asking the questions??) Anyway, I showed the hair to her and she cleaned the bowl and said they are supposed to be cleaned after every client but this one wasnātā¦obviously. The questions she asked us were so strange, because nothing we told her affected anything about the treatment we received. Nothing about our skin types, allergies, hair type, pressure we preferred, etc. was ever discussed. I think we were asked if we had thick hair or thin hair and both of us looked at each other like umm what? Lolā¦Isnāt that going to be pretty obvious for the technician once she starts? We were told that the technician who I had named Gigi did not speak any English and that if I needed to say anything to her then I should tell the technician that my friend had and play a game of telephone. For that reason, Gigi and I did not communicate during my treatment, which is definitely fine with me, but just shows the level of professionalism. 2 minutes in, I could overhear the girl in the āroomā next to us getting her lashes done and her entire conversation with her lash technician. Iām shocked I could hear it over the instrumental Christian music intended to drown out the other conversations, but Iād be lying if I wasnāt enjoying the blast from the past banger āYou Raise Me Upā whilst getting my head massaged. Gigi started using something that reminds me of the textured wire brushes you use to clean a grill. I have pretty fine hair and I feel like thatās something that should not have been used. But then again I can guarantee you with certainty that the treatments are not tailored at all to specific people despite the claim that they are. Itās a one size fits all kind of deal here and quickly very apparent that these women, while very kind, are very much out of their league. Imagine massages you get at a nail salon. Youāre fully aware that no one has any extra credentials for massage, but you kinda enjoy it anyway. Typically youāre not paying $165 for itā¦same vibe here. When people in Charlotte are hearing āhead spaā they are jumping at the chance to have someone massage their scalps and shoulders, but what youāre getting is a bunch of women who are tired of working in nail salons and immediately saw dollar signs when their phones started blowing up after they posted some videos online. My advice is to go get a regular massage and tell the person you want them to focus on your head, shoulders and neck. You wonāt pay as much and youāll get someone who is qualified and can communicate with you without a handler. They are NOT giving facials here despite it being called that. Have you ever gotten a facial in a dark room? Yeah me either. Youāre getting one of those $2 sheet masks my 8 year old niece uses. My hair has been super frizzy ever since the treatment and Iām mentally attributing it to the Brillo pad brush. We left with soaking wet hair (because blow outs are an extra $55+ and Iām sure provided by someone who is not a hair stylist) and had to laugh about the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAnna Pham Spa is such a cozy place, I felt right at home when I came here. Anna was very gentle and meticulous while washing my hair and doing the facial. With the soft/soothing music in the background, you could easily slipped into a siesta (afternoon nap) without knowing. I love the head massage during the shampooing session, I think that was my fav;) She took her time to go thru each step and never once I felt like I was rushed ā¦.after the shampoo was the facial session, she had some sort of stone roller that moved effortlessly on your face. Honestly, I rarely (if ever) get a facial so I didnāt know what to expect, but it was def amazing, and super refreshing after the session. I would totally comeback for a longer facial session next time :) Then came the blowouts, Annaās specialty is in hair and hair styling ā¦.so needless to say, it was my best hair day for the longest time since the start of Covid ! It was truly a treat and I enjoyed every second of itā¦I would totally come back once a month if my 3 kids schedule would favor meā¦.but let me dream for now of that random afternoon at AnnaPhamSpa! But please, dont take my words a for it , book your appointment today and experience it yourself ā¦..If youāre unhappy with your service , contact me and Weāll talk it thru over some coffee ;)
And I almost forgot to mentionā¦the experience was amazing , but the most important factor was actually Anna herself ! She loves what she does and you could tell and feel the passion in everything that she doesā¦with so much TLC and much more š„°

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ran across this establishment when a friend posted a reel on FB. I immediately scheduled a regular Head Spa appointment as I saw they were getting booked up fairly quickly. I had my appointment scheduled for 11:30am and arrived around 11:15am. I was immediately greeted and taken back for my appointment even though I arrived early. The regular head spa included a head, neck, and shoulder massage. The massage lasted maybe about 5 min or so, and I WISH it would have been longer just because it felt so good! Tera definitely knew what she was doing, and it all felt amazing! The head scalp massage was equally awesome! My scalp definitely needed that, and im so grateful. The massage was great, and all the shampoos, oils, and scrubs used on my scalp made my scalp feel rejuvenated! It was the best! Once that was over, I went to the blow dry room and got just a regular blow dry. Now, this is not a styling blow dry. This is just having them dry your hair so that you don't walk out with wet hair. You can choose from a blow dry or a towel dry. Tera did take a bit more time with my hair and even straightened my baby hairs for me so that I didn't look crazy walking out, which I ABSOLUTELY appreciated. Overall, I completely recommend you book an appointment and treat yourself. Self care era! The establishment itself was very modern and chic. It gave Garden of eden vibes, and I was...
