I graduated from the school that belongs to the church a few good years ago and I am now graduating from high school soon, It was 2016 when I graduated so you could say this review could be outdated.. but hear me out on this. St. Ann Catholic School shaped who I am today and influenced me greatly at my young age. The community of faculty and staff here are probably the nicest people you will meet, and your kids will think the same, they will probably even say they are nicer than nice. I visited the school to have a memory lane tour about 3 years after I graduated from the school. It is still the exact same as how I left it. The only thing I saw that day were the kids laughing while productively learning, as I did back then. The teachers are very engaging and sacrifice their own time and energy to advocate for all the students during the day, and even late at night if there is a question about homework. The one on one program the school offers is excellent, for I remember being in it and my grades went through the roof with the help of those dedicated teachers. Some of the teachers who taught me are still there as of now, but others have taken some places of the ones who retired, but I almost did not even notice they were new, because the teachers and staff are just as good as the ones who taught me, and all of my fellow classmates. I remember when i visited a few years ago I saw many kids who I grew up with, now in the grade I was when I graduated, still the energetic, kind, smiling kids I shared lunch with. This school is a puzzle piece to my life, and even one more piece permanently glued to the puzzle of life I am still constructing After high school. I am speaking as a former graduate high A and B student from St. Ann Catholic School. I really recommend considering this school for sending your students to so they can build their puzzles for success in life. At a young elementary age, this Spiritual school will teach your kids to follow the steps of Jesus and become a follower of God, and will help them grow academically, as well as socially with friends they will never forget. So take a moment, and think about what this school truly has to offer and how sending them here will guarantee their health, academic life, and spiritual...
Read moreIf I lived in Charlotte, or anywhere close enough, this would be my parish. The Traditional Latin Mass every Sunday at a reasonable hour is something that should exist in every city of any size, and thankfully Charlotte has St. Ann's. The parish is absolutely faithful to the magisterium of the Church and the pastor is totally orthodox, if you cannot say this about your parish or pastor, then you need to be looking for a new one. The sacred artwork is stunning, everything from that amazing mural behind the altar, to the inscriptions surrounding the entire nave of the church, to the abundance of statues, all done in excellent taste. And the music... the Gaudium Musicae is beyond description. Go to St. Ann's next Sunday and you will see what I'm talking about. If you possibly can, let this become your parish. Your children will thank you now and in eternity. ...
Read moreIt’s not my home parish but it is the parish closest to where I work! I love the fact that they offer daily mass at 7 AM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I recommend attending an orchestral mass when you get a chance! I did find that the people here were not very welcoming but Father Reid is incredibly caring! He checked on me from time to time and I was not even an official member of his flock. Father Jones and Father Reid are incredible confessors. There’s an unfortunate trend in that radical traditionalist Catholic priests tend to be very mean and cold. Father Reid, and Father Jones are the outliers. As traditional as they are, they are some of the most caring priests you will ever meet and they live the example of what it means to treat anyone and everyone who enters the doors of their parish, with absolute kindness and compassion,...
