I have been a patron of Brownlee Jewelers for many years (Park Road Location). Thus, I continue to honor my late mother as I still have fond memories of going with her to the downtown Charlotte location (back then) to make a purchase or pay on her account. My most recent purchase of $329.58 consisted of a 14K disc charm that was engraved with my initials and placed on chain that was shorten and solder to 16 inches. I picked up this item on 12/31/21 right before closing at 5:00 pm; the salesperson (MB) put it on; and I left the store and went directly to my residence. When I got up from taking a nap (12/31) and went to the bathroom, the necklace was gone! It was a Christmas and birthday gift to myself that I never got a chance to enjoy! I immediately checked the bed and inside my car and I went back to the store early Saturday morning (1/1/22) to check the parking lot and outside the store (knowing that it was closed and would not reopen until Tuesday, 1/4/22).
I have come to the conclusion that the necklace was not fastened securely. Consequently, I returned to the store first thing Tuesday morning and informed the manager about this matter. I left and then went back into the store and requested to speak with the owner myself. Again, the manager relayed his response and regrettably, a satisfactory resolution was still not reached. To reorder, even at a discount, would cost me even more money as I would also have to purchase a 16-in chain. This seems so unfair as my hands never touched the necklace. As a valued customer, the most appropriate and fair resolution would be for Brownlee Jewelers to replace the necklace at no cost to me.

Read moreI bought my girlfriend jewellery for Christmas from the Uptown location which is much nicer. I tried to be proactive and got it in November. Well I should have known better than to buy jewellery without her picking it out. So we went here to see if we could return or exchange it. I will let her pick things out from now on.
My girlfriend reviewed all the cases and didn't see anything she would exchange her gifts for so I asked an employee about doing a return. We unfortunately talked to a guy who is likely the same person from the other 1 star reviews. He talks with a fake affectation that screams condescension. Never mind the ill-fitting business casual clothes and long finger nails that are dirty, ruining his fake image.
Before he will talk to us about what we want he says, "Let me remove this tape from the counter so we can conduct business". This is tape from a holiday promotional poster he had just peeled off. I then tell him we want to do a return. He tells me since I bought them just over 30 days ago he can't do anything for me. Ok that's fine, it is on the receipt. But then he asks if he can see the earrings and necklace. He then tries to lecture my girlfriend on why she should like this set. This was pretty bad but fine maybe he thinks this is helping. Sadly that isn't the end. He then suggests maybe he can exchange the earrings for ones from the kids case while sneering. My one solace is knowing that this guy is clearly...

Let me save everyone some trouble; NEVER take anything here to be repaired!!!! I brought my husbands valuable watch to be repaired in October as a Christmas Present. They quoted me a price, and told me when it would be ready in December. That due date came and I called them a few days after when I hadn’t heard from them. They gave me the run around and told me they would call me back with an update. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought, ‘it’s the holidays they must be busy.’ A week after it was supposed to be finished, they called me to say they located the watch and it was waiting on my approval to be fixed. I had already signed a paper saying they could fix this watch, it’s why I brought it to them in the first place. Mind you this is already two full months of them having possession of this watch. No one had attempted to fix it at this point! These people kept my husbands watch for FOUR months continuing to give me the run around, never contacted me to give me updates, or explain what was going on. I finally got my UNFIXED watch back. No one here was competent enough to run a business much less fix anything! No customer should have to hound you to do your job, much less ask for simple communication when you have possession of their property, or ask for their property back! Good luck...
