Absolutely the BEST!!! This was my first visit here. I was seated & had my meal in less than 15 minutes, with the restaurant being pretty full. That showed me their kitchen wasn't backed up for days. Someone's back there doing the right thing. I informed my waitress Caroline that this was my 1st time here and I was traveling. She gladly gave me detailed suggestions on options to try. The sausage was too spicy for me, just because I can't eat any spice. They had bacon to my table in minutes to replace it. The grits, the biscuits, the apple butter jam OMG!!! I've already looked up other locations in other states and sent the info to my husband. Caroline was also able to give me history on the restaurant, which was surprising. I even ordered a to go breakfast to take back to the hotel for tomorrow morning because I won't have time to come in!

*Update, came back for a second trip. Very disappointing, It was a very busy Sunday afternoon, so the wait was expected. I sat at the bar. I can't tell you the waitress/bartenders name as she never gave it. Her demeanor seemed very agitated. She never asked if I needed anything else. As someone stood behind me, while I was still eating, she says to him "she'll be done in a minute" waving towards me. She sat my tab on the counter, again, never saying anything to me. I presented the card the Manager gave me two days prior and asked if I had a difference owed. She sighed. I asked was everything ok and she asked how long ago I'd gotten the card, again seemingly agitated. I told her Friday was everything ok with it. She said the prices have gone up. I said since Friday? Her reply was "On Monday", I responded, I got it two days ago Friday. She said oh and turned back to the computer. The food was still Awesome, but I'll have to reduce the ratings on the service...

I'm not sure how I felt about this visit but I am willing to come back and try this place again before I judge it.

However, the parking was okay, they in a shopping center lot so it's very busy, just plan to walk if necessary.

I came alone so I was seated immediately at the bar, however there was a host standing outside getting everyones phone number to text them when their table was ready and giving a 35 min wait time. Upon arrival at the bar a lot of staff was present but no one said hello. After about 6 mins (not bad) I was given a menu.

The service overall wasn't the best or the worst. You could see the staff was busy but not as professional. I think their is room for improvement on how to be personal, and attentive, and still multitask. Again it wasn't bad just so much going on that it was hard to enjoy the atmosphere. I also was sitting next to a complainer who clearly didn't read the description of what she ordered and her whole energy was off.

I ordered the grits bowl and it was delicious. I was craving grits and it did not disappoint in flavor but I will say I was not full. The key word for the ingredients with the grits is topping so don't expect much. by the time I got home I was hungry again lol 😆 so heads up when ordering that. It also comes with a biscuit that is good with the cran-apple butter.

Overall its a fast past environment lots of moving people, bar is very busy, and people will bump into you if you sit there. Very cool, atmosphere with lots of color. Everyone around me are their meal until it was gone, so that's a good sign! I'd like to...

I was in town (Charlotte, NC) the weekend if May 18th. My aunt decided she wanted to go to breakfast Sunday morning and she wanted to try The Flying Biscuit. I like good food so I was game. Cute place. Nice atmosphere. Larger enough to serve a good size crowd but still very quaint. We were seated in a young ladies section named, Teala. The universe KNEW what it was doing when it connected our souls that morning. Her personality was charming, caring and she was very helpful. We tried the fried green tomatoes. They were slightly different from the fried tomatoes that I was used to eating in my grandmother's kitchen. They had or were topped with like a walnut type of preserve and was also served with a dollop of goat cheese. Interesting... They weren't fried hard enough for me but, tasty just the same. We didn't finish because our breakfast had come. I order the chicken chorizo. Unfortunately, there is NO picture because when my plate came, I dug in! OH MY GOODNESS! The flavors! The potatoes and the veggies were crisp and the sausage was cooked and seasoned perfectly. One of the best Chorizo's I had eaten. The mango mamosa's were an excellent addition to this breakfast. I strongly urge you to sit through the slight wait and try this place out. It is well worth your wait, your time and money. Between the atmosphere, the servers and the food, you'll leave there full, satisfied and grateful. Ask for Teala! She will make your dining...
