Hello Comics is seriously a must-visit spot if you’re into collecting. I used to drive all the way from Tyson’s just to come here—and it was always worth the trip. Their prices are incredible. You can grab near mint Spider-Man, Thor, Avengers, and more back issues between $1-$4 and stack up without blowing your budget. Thanks to hello comics, I was able to finally finish my runs of Sandman, Irredeemable, and Preacher. They always have a crazy good selection, whether you’re hunting for keys, filling in gaps, or just grabbing a few cool reads. Even after moving down to South Florida, I still shop with them—they shipped my books out with no issues, packed really well. Definitely shows they care about their customers, no matter where you are. If you love digging for hidden gems or just want to build your collection without breaking the bank, this place is a goldmine.

Comic book stores are usually pretty small, but this one isn’t. It’s the largest one that I’ve been to. That’s why it’s easy to get lost (metaphorically) in the many different sections. The sections are: Manga, Marvel, Kids, Clearance/ Used, LGBTQ and more. The Manga section was quite popular. It also had a couple of figurines along with the manga. I like that most of the comics and graphic novels don’t have a plastic cover so that you can flip through them to see if you like it. There are also figures in the front of the store and other merch. This is one of my favorite comic store due to sheer size and organization. One can easily spend a good while here checking out all of the comics and merchandise.

I was very surprised at both the depth and variety of comics, games and associated items. The layout is excellent and displays are well organized. They have a great stock of older comics and newer issues, games, figurines, children’s books and so many other things. Staff is friendly and helpful. A great experience for an older (ancient) collector from Florida. There was even a display of Grab Bag comics 3 to a pack at heavily discounted price. Check this place out! You will be glad you did.

One of the best places in C'ville. I've been a fan of comics for a while and while I enjoyed the stacks of comics at the old Atlas store or the atmosphere of the downtown location, this store is not only a reinvention of the old Altus comic store, but an extention and re-imagining of what a comic store can be. My wife and I visit weekly and enjoy every visit. Check it out if you like comics, nerdy stuff, super heros, or just want to see what a good comic store is! (The rest of this review is mostly a guide to newcomers with some constructive feedback in the back)

The store itself is bright and fun to be in, with wide isles and dedicated spaces for different kinds of comic fans. The longboxes are easy to look through and tucked away in stacked pull out drawers.

The new selection of comics is on the back wall, but keep in mind the drawback is the comics will stay up for a while so you may find a new series you like but be behind by a few months.

That brings me to the pull list section. Make sure you're adding and culling you're pull list (the list of comics you want) because the shelves won't necessarily be stocked next week/month with the title you're waiting on (unless your name is Batman, Spider-Man, or some other big name). It's definitely something you should be aware of and not make the mistake of checking weekly like we did for titles that were supposed to be out, but because we didn't add them to our pull we missed em.

Lastly the other 3 sections that are of note (besides the collected edition sections and the kids section) are the trade in section, collected sets, and the used section. The ability to have a comic collection appraised is great, but it's really a little vague what you need to do to get it appriased and get store credit/cash. You have to be there at a specific time and bring your collection you want appraised and then I think wait about a week? For a value to be put on your collection (oh and you have to have them in long boxes I think). Clarity could be improved on the entire process.

The sale/used section is a bargain shoppers dream! This is by far my favorite part and something I've never seen in a comic store. Used books are a guilty pleasure of mine and you won't always find an entire collection because it does get picked through, but I've found so many great reads and classics (hello DC's Kingdom Come) in this section it's always worth browsing.

This also applies to the collected sets. This section is small but basically takes the chore our of hunting for collected editions or perusing through longboxes for that run you wanted. It's individual comics bundled and sealed for a specific storyline/run/miniseries. Well worth a look although it isn't as updated as other things in the store. That being said you can't go wrong with their 50 comic blind bag. It might be my favorite thing in the store and before we move we're going to buy at least 4 if not 6 of them as presents for each other to open and enjoy in our new house.

At the end of the day this is my favorite place in C'Ville. I'm moving soon and my wife and I agree that this is the thing we'll miss most about my home town. The only things to improve would be the things I mentioned: Clarity on the trade in/appraisal system, more sets/ the sets being updated, and for new customers more emphasis on why should should have a pull list because the back wall doesn't update as frequently or in the way you think it does. The only other minor complaint is the shipping fees from the Amazon store to other parts of the country is very high (I don't know if that could be helped) and we really want a way to support them even if we're half way across the country.

Love y'all at Telegraph! Keep up...

We absolutely adore this comic book store! Our journey began at the downtown location, which we enjoyed, but once we discovered this particular store, we found ourselves visiting it much more frequently. The larger space offers an incredible variety of products that truly sets it apart from others.

My son has been a dedicated comic and anime enthusiast for years, and this store has become a treasure trove for him. The selection is astonishing—there's something for everyone, whether you're a hardcore collector or just starting to explore the world of comics and anime. From the latest releases to classic titles, and an array of merchandise, it’s a paradise for fans of all ages.

What I love most about shopping here is the experience itself. While online shopping has its advantages, nothing compares to wandering through the aisles of a well-stocked comic book store. The thrill of discovering new titles, flipping through pages, and engaging with the vibrant atmosphere is simply unbeatable.

Moreover, the staff here truly enhances the experience. They are not only friendly and welcoming, but they also possess an impressive wealth of knowledge about comics, graphic novels, and anime. Whether you have a specific question or just want recommendations, they are always eager to help and share their expertise. It’s clear that they are as passionate about the medium as we are, which makes every visit even more enjoyable.

Overall, this comic book store has become a beloved spot for us, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking to dive into the fascinating worlds of comics and anime. The combination of a diverse selection, a fantastic shopping atmosphere, and an incredibly helpful staff makes it a standout destination...

Out of state customer here. I have to say, Hello Comics Uptown is awesome. They have one of the best services out there.

At a time of despair, I tried finding a Manga Box set that is unfortunately sold out everywhere local to me and even online. While searching for it some more, I came across the Hello Comics site and saw that they had it in stock. I wasn't really sure if this was a reputable site though, so I searched for their Facebook Page and also called them to make sure the website was accurate in saying the Box Set was In-Stock. A nice lady answered, and was patient with me when I was deciding on buying the Box Set from them.

To end this amazing experience, I go ahead and order it and it gets packed and shipped the very same day. It arrived at my doorstep with zero damages or issues whatsoever. They included extremely well packaging and padding.

With this said, I would 100% recommend Hello Comics to anyone who collects Comics and Manga. Especially if you are Out-Of-State from where they are...
