I have spent a LOT Of money staying at this Property and recommended it to many but I expect just like the Brand that Rooms be CLEAN, Safe and QUIET
I paid TWICE or DOUBLE what usual price is and was told it was LAST Room
The Room is Handicap
Handicap and Disabled Deserve CLEAN and SAFE Rooms too
312 was very dirty with many hairs from others IN the Bed which was stain, wrinkled and messy
The Deadbolt does not extend properly when the door is closed. Maintenance man said it need to be Replaced WHEN you check you. The lever is also lose so it did not feel safe which triggered my Post Traumatic Stress of being Sexually assaulted including IN another Hotel Room and someone trying to get into my room another time
The long red and black hairs on the very dirty bathroom floor along with 1 Pubic hairs on the toilet seat where anyone could see it. The bowl was not clean and the wall had something brown behind it.
The tub had 3 hairs
The pipes under the sink STILL has hair on the dust on pipes
I wiped the floors with 2 washcloths under my shoes and rinsed out tub and shower which had stained and frayed bath mat
I went down to the front desk to get CLEAN Sheets and Comforter
Niki did not give the fitted or elastic sheet and I had to return for that and ask for 2 more pillow cases since she only gave 2
Niki said she did not know which is King or Queen and spent a long time looking before giving me one that did fit
I put the fitted sheet over a very old mattress pad which is tattered, Stained and frayed
I put the flat sheet on top of the fitted and then the comforter which I then realized should be inside another sheet or Duvet cover which I did not have
Since Niki seemed upset to have to get the linens, I did not go back down
I tossed and turned ALL night and barked as room was dusty on night stands and food was on carpet in 2 places and on red chair. Desk was moved out from the wall on the Left side which would be bad IF someone in a wheel chair was in the room.
I am disabled but did not use my Walker. I have a cane and a walker.
The people in room Above in 412 were walking loudly until almost 1 am and again louder at 4:48 AM until I got up off sofa to go downstair for Tea
I acted like Housekeeping to Strip the Sheets
I should NOT have to remove DIRTY sheets from OTHER People
I should NOT have to Put Clean Sheets on the Bed I paid to Use
I should NOT be exposed to hairs and body fluids and Germs from other People in a Room that should be cleaned and sanitized after EVERY Guests
I understand some hairs falling but this was too many and gross
The floors were filthy
The AC vent is dirty
The walls coming into the room look like a cheap Motel and not $200 a night Room from Hotel BOTH sides have 10-12 patched and primed areas that should be painted
Man was in the hall with Paint Buckets when I showed him the broken dead Bolt
It is frustrating and disappointing and Risk for Germs and Diseases or Aggravating Pre existing health issues including Lung Inflammation for which I was JUST in UVA Hospital
I want a Full Refund of My Money issued to My credit card with an apology for NO "hospital" cleansers being used in 312 prior to taking my money
IF I had my car with me, I would have left and NOT stripped the bed to put CLEAN sheets or cleaned the bathroom and entry so my socks and shoes were not filthy and covered with body fluids, hairs and dirt from Previous Guests.
I was happy to interact with Guests who asked me for Recommendations for Places to Eat and things to do.
Otherwise, it was waste of my time and money as leave exhausted and out of $200 for sleepless night...
Read moreIf my Wife and I could give this Hotel Negative Stars we would have given them the lowest rating possible. My Wife and I are very respectful, personable people. This is her Husband writing this review. So on January 11th, 2017 I was released from Sentara Martha Jefferson after having a Major Surgery called an Illiaostomy which is where they completely remove the Illium which is a pretty large section in your small intestine. After removing the Illium they loop the intestines and pull a piece out onto the outside of the stomach which is called a Stoma. When I was discharged we found out that while I had been in the Hospital for Three Months that the during the last two weeks our water pipes in our house had busted and completely flooded our entire basement, so finding out after having a major surgery that you can't go back to your own house to heal and rest was not the news that I wanted to hear. So we checked into the Country Inn and Suites. Both of us being from Charlottesville new that this hotel was brand new and that it seemed like a nice place to stay until we could get our house repaired/fixed. Our stay ended up being longer than intended due to complications with restoring the house and all the water damage. The money that we were spending became ALOT and since I hadn't worked in three months I only had enough for a couple of weeks to stay in savings. So my Mother decided to help us out knowing the circumstances and because she would do anything to help. To make a Long Long story into a Short Story, not only did they Charge our card knowingly for more nights then what was supposed to be charged (which at first we thought was just a mistake) and we found out that they did this intentionally. When my Mother paid for one week and ONE WEEK ONLY they ended up charging Her Card Two Thousand Dollars and Lied to my Mother multiple times. If that's bad enough my Wife and I needed time to get our belongings from our room and we had a lot because we had been staying there for a while. Well after a Month and some change of completely rude and EXTREMELY inconsiderate and unprofessional exchanges from the staff personally and over the phone, we were in Harrisonburg at a Doctors Appointment thinking that we had a night to get our belongings out. We were told that if we didn't get back by Five P.M that they would physically go in our room and take our stuff out for us EVEN THOUGH we had another night but as my Mom had said she did not want them to use her card anymore then once, a hotel employee lied too us telling us we where all paid up using our card when REALLY they used my Mothers card WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. To top it off they called the POLICE!!! After we had paid them thousands and thousands of dollars, and said that we owed them money that had already been paid and if it wasn't paid we would be arrested??? Even though we were all paid up, so we had no choice but to pay what they said we owed which we didn't and they will be sued for that and also touching/moving our personal property and possessions some of which may have been taken. So if you would like to go through the worst management and employment that we have EVER personally experienced than this is the...
Read moreDisappointing Experience with Front Desk "Manager"
I was very disappointed with the hospitality at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Charlottesville, Virginia. Upon check-in, I arrived with four friends and had booked two rooms for our group. One of my friends stepped up to the counter first and gave her last name, and I simply added that the reservation might be under my last name, since I was the one who booked both rooms.
To my shock, the gentleman at the front desk turned to me and said I was being extremely rude. I was confused and asked why, and he replied that he was helping "the other lady," not me. I calmly explained that I had booked the rooms and thought they may be under my name, which is why I spoke up. He responded by saying he didn't care and that I was being rude to "the other lady" by cutting in front of her — despite the fact that we were literally standing side by side, checking in together. All four of us were stunned.
My husband then asked to speak with the manager — and unbelievably, the man claimed he was the manager. If this is truly how management treats guests, it’s incredibly disappointing. None of us were rude in any way; we were just trying to check into the rooms I had already reserved.
I’ve stayed at many Country Inn & Suites locations and have never had an experience like this. Hospitality and professionalism should be the bare minimum, especially from someone representing the hotel as a manager. Sadly, this encounter left a very negative impression on what should have been a...
