I had an absolutely terrible experience here. The only good part about going is the young gentleman that checked me in early. He was very professional and kind, and despite the tvs not working he did attempt to try and fix the problem though it was never resolved.
The rooms have bugs and there are massive gaps on all sides of the doors so anything can just crawl underneath into your room as well. Bugs were coming from behind fixtures and decorations on the walls. I notified the front desk and asked them to remove the first few pests i saw, and by that time the General Manager was there. Less than 30 mins later several more pests appeared and i again notify the front desk. I was met with hostility and disrespect. The words of the General manager himself was " We've never gotten a complaint of bugs or pests, you must have brought them" which is absolutely insane and very rude considering i paid $300 to get a room there, and because when you dig in their reviews PLENTY of other people have complained about the bugs especially in the past 6-8 months they've had bed bugs and other pest issues, and lack of cleanliness, as well as poor staff attitude.
I initially asked the manager if they were unable to provide lodging without pests then it would be better for them to just refund me so i can find cleaner accommodations. The general manager argued with me about the bugs that his staff came and killed with their own two hands, but because they all have difficulty speaking English the staff have to keep calling the front desk to try to translate because they dont understand enough to in my opinion properly work with guests.
After arguing with me and me asking him why he was speaking to me so disrespectfully he finally offered to try and give me a different room, to which i asked " Can you guaranteee that this room wont have pests coming from behind the fixtures and decorations, i dont want to move all my stuff around just to have to call you guys back" The manager responded " i cant guarantee anything, do you want the room or not, we can refund you"
This was very frustrating as i had already said if clean accommodation was not available id like to be refunded so i can find a clean place to sleep. After about 3 HOURS of constant bugs and back&forth with the the General manager. They finally refunded me. I also even showed the General manager picture os the bugs i had already killed before i called them and he just shrugged me off.
DO NOT come to this location unless you qanna spend $2-300 for a room filled with bugs that management will lie about and not acknowledge, a tv that doesnt work, and incompetent property management.
And please know i will be filing reports to the BBB on your establishment for the issues i had yesterday, this experience truly ruined my weekend in Charlottesville. Very poor customer service, very...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of working with Corey, a dedicated staff member at Days Inn, and I wanted to express my gratitude for the exceptional service she provided. Planning a wedding can be a stressful endeavor, and Corey's assistance truly made a significant positive impact on our experience.
We encountered an issue with our hotel block reservation for our wedding in October 2023. Realizing that our guests needed to check in earlier to have sufficient time to settle in before catching the shuttle to the wedding ceremony, we approached Corey with our concerns. From the moment we explained our situation, Corey went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of.
Corey demonstrated outstanding professionalism, attentiveness, and a genuine commitment to providing excellent service. Shee not only understood the urgency of our request but also took the extra effort to facilitate an early check-in process for our guests. Her proactive and accommodating approach made a significant difference, allowing our guests to comfortably prepare for the wedding festivities without any unnecessary stress.
I am truly grateful for Corey's dedication and exceptional customer service. Her positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile reflect highly on Days Inn as a whole. I highly commend Corey for his outstanding efforts and commendable service, making our wedding block experience at Days Inn a memorable and positive one.
Thank you, Corey, for helping to make wedding planning a little...
Read moreThis is just an expensive motel. I booked this place only because it was the cheapest in the area, and my purpose was only to sleep at night and get back on road early in the morning. I visited Shenandoah and Luray Cavers in the morning and reached the hotel around 9pm, and left the hotel next day morning by around 8am and started driving to DC. I spent the same amount of money for this hotel and the one in DC. So comparing that, I feel this is expensive for the place.
Now let's get to more specific details so people know what to expect. Motel feel - the room is pretty small and everything inside is congested including the toilet. I got the room in the first floor, with doors opening to the parking lot. Because of these I felt like in a motel Food trucks and eateries around - we reached there pretty late, still there were food trucks operational in front of it. Also I saw Starbucks and couple of other eateries in walkable distance Breakfast-they advertise free breakfast. Please go with zero expectation. Yes, they do have breakfast. Bread and toaster, waffle maker, cup cakes, yogurt and coffee. That's it. Bread was not fresh. Service-staff was friendly Inside the room-it was non smoking room and not smelling smoke. Furniture , TV and lighting were old and not bad. Mattress was good and had a good night sleep after a day full of walking. Toilet is congested. Microwave and fridge available. Coffee maker was not clean, so didn't feel like...
