We are disappointed that hotel didn't take the booking by third party like booking.com seriously and made us feel inferior over a breakfast. We booked the room package which includes the breakfast and mentioned that we only need to pay $0.10 per person for the breakfast. Upon reaching the hotel in the afternoon, the front desk informed us that there was no breakfast available with our booking, but after showing the email from Booking.com that outlined the meal plan, he provided us with the booking voucher for five people.
The following morning, upon our arrival at the breakfast area, the individual named 'Naresh,' who was responsible for overseeing breakfast and the front desk, informed us that he was unable to provide breakfast, despite our possession of a breakfast voucher. I presented him with the email detailing the breakfast plan and requested that he charge $0.50 for five individuals; however, his demeanor was exceedingly rude, offensive, and lacking in proper manners. He even rejected the breakfast voucher which was given by their staff only and made us feel that we got the voucher from some street person.
I was on vacation with my husband, two small kids (3 year and 4 year old), and my over 65-year-old mother, and I specifically paid for the breakfast package while booking so that we would not have any trouble with the small kids and my mom. This hotel staff specially the guy named Naresh made us feel like we were trying to steal the breakfast from him.
We felt so humiliated by him even though we had the breakfast voucher and email from Booking.com, and was asked to leave the area.
Hotel staff member conveyed an impression that our reservation, made through a third party like Booking.com was of lesser value (even though we paid the same or may be more price than hotel website), and shows disregard for third-party reservations. We kindly request that you reconsider accepting bookings from third party in the future if you have so much disregard for third-party reservations
Regrettably, based on this experience, we will not be recommending this...
Read moreThe hotel is nice, clean, in great shape, and the pool and fitness center are great. The inconveniences caused by staff take away a lot from the experience. I had said we would be using a different card for our two rooms than on reservation. I was assured it was no problem. They got one room on new card but charged the other room on card reservation was held with, after making it clear they were putting it on new card. This caused an issue with my bank which flagged it as suspicious, that is taking days to remedy. The person at the desk could barely speak English well enough to understand what the problem was. We had requested a room on a low floor away from the elevators in a quiet location. We are on a top floor, right next to the elevators. Why allow for requests if you are just going to ignore them? Then at midnight, an alarm went off in the room, which we did not set. At 3:21 AM the elevator alarm was blaring in the hallway for an hour, with no apology or explanation. The air unit in the room is very noisy and not well filtered. It was definitely far from a restful night. We headed down to get Starbucks and breakfast. The Starbucks is not. You can’t scan or use your Starbucks app or payment. The front desk staff making the drink couldn’t speak English. We ended up going 2 1/2 miles away for coffee. The breakfast was a disappointment. The eggs tasted like powder, the Eggo waffles were wilty and cold, and the sausage did not look appetizing. The potatoes were not flavored or cooked well. We decided to throw it away and go elsewhere. So much for saving money by eating the “full breakfast” at the hotel. Really hoping the rest of the week isn’t as horrible as night 1. So far, we are definitely not impressed.
I will add that the younger, obviously not as experienced desk clerk in the evening was outstanding. His supervisor/trainer/manager was just awful. I felt bad for the younger guy. He was doing a great job but being treated like a nuisance by...
Read moreTwisted my ankle so I cant walk the 6 flights of stairs, needed to take dog out to void and doing laundry on 3rd floor but then both elevators arent working. So I'm stuck on the 6th floor. Already had to take stairs other day when fire alarm went off and stayed going for 10 minutes so I had no choice but to take stairs then. Get to the bottom floor and staff says ooh it wasnt a fire. Alarm sometimes does that and they dont know why. Thanks for calling and letting me know not to mention it was very rough on my dog. Nice rooms but the fridge door doesn't close well and so everything is only slightly cooler than room temp. The normal housekeeper on my floor does a great job. The one on her days off did a terrible job. No lotion in the rooms so make sure not to forget it at home. 4 staff members are really nice. 2 of them are horrible. When extending my stay they tried to double charge me for the incidental insurance. Kept telling her it went through and she insisted I do it again. Finally I pulled up transaction history on my phone before she stopped harassing me telling g me her computer shows my card didn't go through. Took 30 minutes to get through the ordeal of extending my stay from 5 days to 8. 10 of those minutes many of us were waiting around for the front desk staff to show up. That was at check out time and the phone just kept ringing and ringing. Busiest time in the lobby and no one around. Dog friendly. The breakfast has much room for improvement and I don't understand why the pool is closed. Chlorine kills the virus so there is no reason to close it. And why dont they just have someone who serves the breakfast instead of offering cheap oatmeal and muffins. I should have just extended my stay at The English Inn where the pool was open and they served bacon, sausage, French toast, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs-2 ways and baked cinnamon apples. I came here because I thought it would be even better as it was more expensive but I...
