I have been going here over 20 years and I am sad to say I have to find a new salon. The prices jumped dramatically, they now using boxed supplies added $15 dollars to my usual price. If service had been perfect I might have continued as it’s close to home. But it wasn’t.
One of the new men did my pedicure, he was very nice. He asked if he could cut my nails and wanted to cut a little as to prevent ingrown toe nails on my big toes. I said yes, thinking he would do like previously people had done which is just make a small angle cut near the tip of toe and slightly into the skin area. Instead he clipped a small straight line and went all the way to the toe nail bed removing a very narrow inch long strip on each side of my big toe. He repeated one side and it hurt and bled. While my nails looked beautiful when done my toes hurt for well over a week.
Lastly, he mixed the scrub and lotion together while massaging - cutting time corners. A scrub alone feels good that way, and lotion alone feels good for that. I could have lived with that if that was only thing. But I went in with no toe pains and came out sore and paid too much for it.
Nice guys but maybe need better training and all the boxes seemed like a waste of packaging- something new that I suppose drove up their costs and not worth it in my opinion. I have Been getting pedicures forever and been there through 3 maybe 4 different owners but never had someone cut down into the nail bed and make me bleed before or paid so much. I come for relaxing pampering pedicure and...
Read moreI have been going to the Chaska Turbo Nails for years and I love it. Occasionally I’ve had to go elsewhere to get my nails done because either they weren’t open for the day or fully booked for when I was wanting to get them done. Nobody does it as good as they do. Everyone is so sweet and welcoming and I always look forward to seeing them every time I walk in through the doors. I bring my family and friends to them and I recommend them to anyone who compliments my nails because the work they do is outstanding and you can’t find it elsewhere. I challenge them with some difficult designs at times, but they never fail to give me what I want every time and exceed my expectations. I’ve also had two instances where I’ve had nails break, not due to the quality, but because I play in a fast contact sport and I weight lift so I’m a little rougher with my hands then others. They took me in day of both times free of charge and fixed it. If you’re looking for a place to relax and get high quality care, Chaska Turbo Nails is...
Read moreIt was a nice set up. The owners before were in my opinion were a lot better. Dana did my nails,. It just seemed like she was in such a hurry to get my nails done and get the next person in as soon as possible. And she went so fast that she just kept grabbing and twisting my hands and in my opinion going way too fast and not really paying attention to what she’s doing but just paying attention to everything else that was around her. I did question her when she was doing my nails because they kind of looked weird. They were pretty thick and the nails were going up instead of straight. Kind of looking like a ski slope. I just wish she would’ve slow down and paid more attention to me than everybody else that was coming in. And I also brought my granddaughter in there as well and I had to pay full price for a 10-year-granddaughter. That’s crazy. But I do have to say my granddaughters nails look...
