Finally good Indian food in Chaska! We’ve ordered takeout from Edible India a few times since they opened. Everytime the food has been consistently AWESOME! Their kababs are fantastic- our favorites are chicken seekh kabab, lamb seekh kababs and the chicken tikka. Their biryani is also fantastic and very flavorful. We get the boneless vijaywada chicken biryani. The portions are generous and usually one takeout order from here will last us 2-3 meals. The rotis and naans are also good and rather large. One roti can easily serve 2 people. We order things to be mild and find them to still have a considerable kick. It is definitely not for those who prefer very mild food. The sauce on the chicken tikka masala is delicious and definitely on the milder side. It is perfectly seasoned and the chicken pieces are actually grilled and flavorful. This is in contrast to most other Indian restaurants who have dry, white meat chicken pieces. We prefer the chicken tikka masala at edible India. My only recommendation would be for them to balance the ratio of the chicken pieces to the sauce. The sauce seems more generous than the pieces. Overall, this place is awesome! We are excited to have quality Indian food close to us. I wish them great success, so that selfishly I don’t have to drive very far for flavorful, delicious...
Read moreOnly reason I dinged the atmosphere is they don’t have any table seating. The atmosphere is bright, clean, great visuals for the menu.
I met Yasin who took time to explain some of the daily special “grab and go” offerings. The peanut stuffed peppers was unique to me, I hadn’t seen that while I was in Chennai. Yasin gave a free sample and I ended up getting the 4 piece.
There was a large dispenser or hot Masala Chai, my favorite. I’ve had some here in the US, although good, this reminded me of what I would get freshly made while in Chennai. Delightful.
The chicken makhani (butter chicken) is always a favorite of mine. The curry was just the right amount of spices and very savory. Chicken was plentiful and tender.
I got both butter and garlic naan, only needed one though as the portion is large.
Wish they were in SWFL, but then I’d probably gain...
Read moreI stopped here to today on their grand opening. The staff was so friendly and proud to be serving. The quality and taste of the food was outstanding. I had the butter paneer and the vegetable curry. My husband, who does not like Indian food, really enjoyed his Chicken 65. It would be similiar to a sweet and sour chicken minus the sauce and sweetness. Instead the chicken is coated in a wonderful spice mix with a great crispy exterior.
Finally an Indian restaurant that I can enjoy with my husband. The garlic naan, some of the best. I have been to all of the surrounding Indian restaurants in the suburbs and their garlic naan had a wonderful chewy texture with lots of garlic. We will definitely be ordering again.
Please note, this place has no dine in. Take out only which makes the service quick...
