I have been going to this nail salon for about 2 - 3 years now. It has always been a little bit of a struggle because I prefer Gel on my toes which for some reason isn't preferred at this salon. Scheduling through their app in the past and now through their website has always been another challenge because I cannot choose "pedicure with gel".
I always show up to my appointments early and let them know I have gel on my toes and that I will be getting gel again. I can tell the staff gets aggrieved about this, every time. They have no solution because they prefer we schedule through the website and yet they continue to not have an option for "pedicure with gel" or they have not invested the 2 minutes it would take to advise me otherwise if I am the one missing something. Unfortunately today was my last visit with them. The last 5 visits or so they have really disappointed me.
First off, they charge me an extra $20 just because I prefer Gel polish in my toes. The kicker here... I bring my OWN polish because their color selection has never fit my style. So I choose to get the basic pedicure without any extras at $35 because I know I'll be charged the extra $20 just to have them put MY gel polish on my toes. I understand it takes a bit longer, but $20 is over half the amount of the entire pedicure!!! Secondly, the staff is always friendly to others who come in who seem to be "regulars". I feel like after 2-3 years I should be a regular by now yet no one ever recognizes me or treats me this way. I have NEVER been offered water etc. At my visit today, every other women who came in for a pedicure was offered water. Again... 2-3 years going there and it has never been offered to myself. Third- the last visit, previous to my last recent one, they had a student work on me (which normally I would be absolutely fine with) but they had made me wait over 40 minutes past my appointment to begin with. The student was struggling being so new that another staff member had to come over and RE-DO the entire pedicure! No apologies, no discount. I spent almost 3 hours there. Fourth- I decided to choose a particular staff member for my visit this time because I felt that of all of the staff members that have worked on me there she was the most friendly and did the best job. I chose her when I scheduled on the website. This staff member never seemed "put off" that I preferred gel on my toes. Well, they disregarded the fact that I had purposely chosen that staff member and placed me when someone else. I checked my appointment confirmation email and I had indeed chosen the correct person, but they did not honor that. Fifth- they claim to not handle cash due to their hygiene standards and I have seen this to be untrue. I am a registered nurse and have chosen this salon due to its "commitment to hygiene" and after recently seeing multiple staff members count/handle money it is a bit odd to me. Why point out the fact that you do not do this, then do it anyway?
I am done at this point trying to give any more chances. I am a very loyal customer and feel that I bring more aggravation to the staff here (because of my preference for gel on my toes) than its worth. Such a dumb reason in my opinion and it's very...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer of Boutique Nail Lounge for 10 years, visiting regularly (monthly) and never once going anywhere else. When I say itâs the best, I truly mean it! Everything about this place is top-notch. What initially drew me in was their impeccable hygiene and cleanliness standards. You wonât find another nail salon that compares.
Over the years, Iâve had services from nearly everyone on staff, and I have nothing but praise for their talent and dedication. Each technician upholds the highest standards, ensuring that every visit is an exceptional experience. Whenever I bring out-of-town guests, they always comment on how no nail salon near them comes close to the quality of Boutique and how it feels like a luxury spa.
Beyond their expertise, the entire team is warm and professional. Since they operate mostly by appointment, they run on schedule, and I have never once had to wait for my service.
While I have never personally had an issue, on a rare occasion, Iâve seen a customer nit-picking minor details. Even in those instances, the Boutique team always prioritizes customer satisfaction, even when the complaint is unwarranted. Unfortunately, some people will take advantage of that generosity, but that is no reflection on Boutique, its owners (Kally and her husband), or their staff.
The quality, care, cleanliness, and friendliness at Boutique Nail Lounge are unmatched. If that werenât the case, why would Iâand so many othersâremain loyal for a decade? Thereâs a reason (or many!) why their customers keep...
Read moreUnfortunately we had the most horrible experience at this salon. We made an online appointment for 2.30 pm. The techs did not start until 2:40 pm and in less than 5 seconds my tech started working on my feet which were dangling in the air, not sure if it is part of the owners âJetlessânail spa. There was less than 5 cm of water in the basin which my feet did not touch. Still trying to figure out this new jet less spa. My tech Veronica was actively conversing with her counterpart who was doing my daughterâs nails throughout the entire visit. Their heads were turned towards each other as they shared stories and gossip, and my every concern and question was dismissed. It was very distasteful and disrespectful. . I may add these two techs were the only ones displaying such unprofessional behaviour even though Kelley, the owner was at the cash register and within earshot.
Further, as soon as two of their âVIPâ customers (the techs announced to each other) arrived the entire staff âbowed downâ to the new arrivals and signalled to the two techs who were doing our nails who then dropped us like hot potatoes and asked us to move to the drying station. We were shortchanged. Never before in the many salons we have been, something as grotesque as this has happened . Not sure if this Business ( Kelly and her husband) caters only to a certain ethnicity and therefore have not trained their staff to treat all with respect or it is just those two techs who have some...
