I went to this location yesterday and I was disappointed. I waited 10-15 minutes for a table, which was expected considering it was the busy hour but upon being sat it took another 15 ish minutes to be attended to and give my drink order.
I had an appetizer that took longer to come out, but it was still warm and tasted good. It took an eternity to get my actual dinner order taken as well which was a disaster. I ordered a dish with steak, shrimp and pasta which I have had before. Upon receiving my meal it was replaced with chicken and I told the man who delivered it that I ordered it with steak, not chicken. I was not informed that they were out of steak and they assumed that I was okay with the chicken. (I was not) My partner got a grilled cheese which was cold and couldn’t eat it.
The manager took off all the food on my bill, which was kind of him, considering it was a disaster. I was okay with paying for my drinks because I enjoyed those and I would’ve paid for the cheese fries as well because I did eat those and those were done right but he took those off. The managers seemed frazzled, but sympathetic. I do not remember his name, but talking with him was the only good part of my experience because he seemed like a very hard-working manager, who strives for positive customer service.
I will not be visiting this location again. I always go to the Outback in Peabody and that’s where I will always go because they know what they are doing there. I will make the extra 15 minute drive for proper service next time.
I used to be a server, and I understand how hard it is being in this industry, but last night was an absolute slap to the face. I worked at the 99’s and that chain is horrific. I expected a lot more from the Outback considering it’s a nicer steakhouse. Unfortunately, the Outback location in Lowell compared to the 99’s last...

Girlfriend and I got food poisoning from bad food and the staff at the establishment tried to blame it on us, we were told we would be receiving a sizeable gift card, and we never did.
On a recent visit to this outback both my girlfriend and I ended up with food poisoning from the salmon that she had ordered. We were both ill within 30 minutes of consuming the food and still IN the restaurant. The wait staff were apparently unphased by this and when my girlfriend returned to the table they made a comment about how we had both only been drinking water (apparently assuming that we had over indulged in alcohol) and then asked my girlfriend if she was pregnant, trying to find a reason why we had gotten sick other than the food. The manager who was on in the evening ( unfortunately I was not at the table when he came over, as I was indisposed in the bathroom) made no effort to rectify the situation and we were still charged for all of our meals, two of which were now on there way to the sewers. After some time my girlfriend stopped being physically ill long enough to speak with the staff again ( admittedly with some attitude) and received a refund for her meal only.
The next day when we called to speak with someone about the incident the night before we received the typical "we are so sorry that happened to you, etc..." We were then told that we would be receiving a sizeable gift card for our troubles, which we never did. Not only was this a distressing night for the both of us (the majority of which was spent with us being ill) the level of customer service was the most abysmal I have ever experienced.
I do not think I will plan a visit to this or any outback steakhouse again after this experience, and would advise that other avoid the...
Read moreDO NOT EAT HERE! I came a while ago and my boyfriend's gluten-free father received a dirty kitchen receipt stuck to the bottom of his steak, and my boyfriend's food was carried out on the same tray as a dish containing tree-nuts (we told the waitress and the manager about his peanut and tree-nut allergy before ordering). That was over 2 years ago at this point, so on Friday night we decided to give it another chance. Our server was very inattentive, never checked in on us, and when she did speak to us she was snappy and in a rush, which was surprising to me as there was (at the time) only one other table seated in her section, and she didn't run any of her own food or drinks. At the table my boyfriend and I shared the Bloomin' Onion, and he got the chicken sandwich while I got the steak and shrimp pasta. The next day (which would be yesterday) I was nauseous all day, then I was up all night violently vomiting up bile until about 7 this morning, I couldn't even drink water without vomiting. The same thing is happening to him tonight. I understand not feeling great after eating out, but our symptoms point to food poisoning. We know it was from the Outback because it was the only time we ate together all weekend, it was our mistake for eating there after our previous experience, but I genuinely don't understand how this place is still in business. The food also was not very good to begin with, the pasta was dry, the steak overcooked, the shrimp tasted like burnt frier oil, the bloomin' onion was drenched in oil and way too salty, his chicken sandwich was dry and burnt, and the produce on it was mushy and...
