I needed my wedding band re-sized, and Stephen delivered!

I called several jewelers in my area, and all of them indicated they would send my band out to be re-sized. I wasn't comfortable with such a personal item being shipped away. Additionally, the cost for such was a bit excessive, plus the turn around time was too long.

I called Jewelry Set In Stone, and Stephen took the time to speak with me. He keeps the work in his own studio, so my item wouldn't be blindly shipped off to some unknown location. He plainly explained the process, and took the time to set up an appointment for sizing.

After the sizing appointment, he quickly re-sized my band, and had to returned to me in less than three days! His cost for resizing was also well below what I was quoted at other jewelers. A definite win all around.

Additionally, his work in the studio is impeccable. It's not typical big-box jewelry, and his craftsmanship and artistry really shine. I was very impressed by the pieces he had on display.

Horrible experience. Started off great we met him initially at black barn for a wedding expo. He went over some designs for an engagement ring and we met with him again in Brighton for about 3 hours. It was a longer drive for him than it was for us which was nice. After that it went downhill. There were numerous unreturned phone calls and text. He kept delaying everything from getting us drawings and molds. Never followed through on one thing he told us after that Brighton meeting. Not a single thing. He finally sent us a picture of the stone we wanted and we heard back from him once after that despite numerous attempts to reach him. Eventually he stopped responding. My fiancée was really excited for the ring design her and Steven had come up with and for him to treat us like this is a joke. We were both really disappointed and dumbfounded as to how a person can act like this during an immensely important service he was supposed to do for us. Stephen is not only creative, he is 1000% customer service oriented. And not only that, he has a huge heart for the business he is in. He goes to Africa for the finest garnet on the planet for example. He fixed two watches for us and a clock. Then he came to my Mom's home in Assisted Living Silver Maples Retirement village in Chelsea, MI and spent an hour adjusting the size of her watch for her. He graced us with stories and photos of he travel to Africa finding brilliant garnet and also sighting elephants in the night outside of his lodging.
