I took my wife’s engagement ring to a jeweler in Jackson (well known) for a repair. The diamond was “juggling around and about to fall out. They fixed it but a week later it had the same issue so I took it back. They said they were unable to fix it but would sell me a new ring for the diamond. The rings alone they showed me were more expensive than my original engagement ring from 16 years ago. I took a pass and left feeling kinda small and of course out a couple hundred bucks for a repair that they didn’t stand behind. It was just weird there. Fast forward to to our 20th anniversary and I decided to use Ja Halla for the “undoable” repair. They took one look at it and said I’d have it by Saturday (three days) and even gave me a “fist bump.” Lol. What a different experience all around. The whole staff was helpful and easygoing. Yes, the ring was nothing special and the diamond is tiny, but it was all I could afford in 2002. We didn’t want a new ring we wanted the one that made it 20 years because I’ve seen some enormous diamonds that didn’t make it 6 months. This is my second time doing business and I’ll go back again and highly recommend it if you’re not big jewelry couple like my wife and I. Of course, if you are, this place sure has a big selection so it’s a win win!! Thanks guys for being so kind...
Read moreI have had the most amazing experiences with la Jolla jewelers! I purchased a beautiful Tacori ring for my 35th Anniversary that needed to be downsized almost three sizes. I took it to a local Tacori dealer and because of the many Melee diamonds and detail the Tacori ring had their jewelers were not willing to attempt to size the ring. They offered to ship the ring to Tacori to have them size the ring. After Tacori having the ring for over two weeks, I received a phone call letting me know that they were only willing to downsize the ring by one size. The only other option was to melt down the ring and remake it for almost $6000. There was no way I could afford such an endeavor. I took the ring to Curtis at La Jolla jewelers. He was very confident and encouraging regarding the resizing of the ring. He resized both the wedding ring and engagement ring for a very minimal fee. After dropping the ring off with Curtis, I was so excited and encouraged. Two days later I received a phone call, letting me know the ring was ready for pick up! Amazing!!! No other jeweler including Tacori would even attempt the job! I am so grateful to have met Curtis and his wonderful staff. No matter what you need fixed or made, Curtis can do it with...
Read moreCurtis is a craftsman like no other. Right from the first conversation, I knew He genuinely cared about the project I brought him and, let me just say, his work is stellar. He worked diligently to keep within budget. He listened carefully to my ideas and masterfully designed something beyond my expectations. I found a blue sapphire on the internet and he found a perfect color match. Which is very difficult to do. My ring looks amazing.
While visiting the store, we were also invited to admire a fellow customers new piece. She had her mother’s ring reset as a necklace. We were so honored to be a part of this precious moment. What a treasure to be able to connect with someone special that you can no longer see but with your heart.
He also took care of my moms rings. I’ve honestly never seen her engagement ring sparkle like it does now. We both left feeling so well taken care of.
