I’ve had positive experiences at olive nail lounge usually when getting regular gel manicures and pedicures.

My last two experiences were not the greatest and I hate leaving bad reviews and genuinely try giving places a fair chance. I got and ombré french tip with dip powder a few weeks ago for a bridal shower. That looked bad in my opinion and they kindly corrected it for free to a beautiful french (which i liked). I included pics of the original dip set and the correction. I wanted the same thing re-done today for a wedding I am attending tomorrow.

While that was attempted today with another technician, I was cut twice plus two nails were drilled down to my raw skin/cuticle. A cut here and there is fine but my fingers are currently throbbing and I thought the drilling on my skin and filing directly on my skin was a bit excessive. Additionally, I got a french pedicure today and the right foot looks bad and the pink polish is bleeding into the white on my big toe and looks leaky on the second toe.

I wanted this to be my consistent salon but I don’t feel like everyone there works equally well. I think you can get lucky with a good technician but I don’t want to chance them not being there and rely on someone new or having to go back to get...

So Im writing this because I haven’t received a call back from the owner as promised or at least a manager. I was charged $48 for a gel manicure. I didn’t want to say anything because I thought well that’s the price. I walked away uncomfortable. I didn’t leave a tip because I felt ripped off compared to other local nail salons pricing. I went to check out of curiosity their gel mani is listed $33 on their website. I called immediately. They told me they charged me $15 extra to take the acrylic off my nails. I will add one nail had NOTHING on it. So she only did 9 nails!!! In all the YEARS I’ve gotten my nails done I’ve never been charged to take something off. That’s part of the service.SCAM. They took a shot to RIP me off!!!! Iwill be sure to let all my friends and family know about my experience

ALSO. It’s terrible that it takes a review to get a response from you. There was no reservation confirmation of any kind sent to me with a price listed upfront. Nice try… SCAM. Trying to make yourself look professional to the public...

Shout out to Olive Nail Lounge; specifically Shaina and Ling!!!! I don't know where to begin other than to say Shaina is a gem and made what began as a miserable experience I had at another salon, and she made it right by telling me to come on in to Olive and they would fix the bad work done by the other salon. And boy did they! Ling was my manicurist and she was excellent!! I even got a glass of champs during my mani. The place is beautiful, clean and calming - all things I look for in a great nail salon. But the most impressive thing they have is TALENT. Annndddd...everyone was so accommodating and nice and really made it a point to pay incredible attention to detail. Also, I am originally from Jersey, but moved to DC about 7 years ago. I am in the process of trying to relocate back to NJ which means having to identify new places for hair, skin and nails. I take that stuff pretty seriously and I can honestly say this will be my nail spot when I finally...

Im so disappointed. It’s has been a week and two of my nails came off yesterday. last week when I got them done I started to noticed my middle finger nail was coming off! At the beginning I had no problem spending $78 for a Acrylic gel nails because I loved them and I loved the shaped but I’m so disappointed it started to come off less than a week and It’s makes me mad because for $78 it shouldn’t be coming offf less than a week. I’ve been to other place where I got acrylic gel nail and they usually last a month for like $50 but i was never happy because they always shaped my nails crooked but when I finally found this place where they actually did a good job in shaping my nails I had no problem paying $78 plus +15tip. It’s just not worth paying that much if it’s going to come off less than a week!! FYI I don’t put pressure of my nails for it to come off like that!

I made an appointment for gel mani and pedi with design, the design looks nothing like the picture I showed. The pedicure did not come with a massage I assume because the design took so long. I requested I be seated next to my friend so we could talk and was told NO because all her stuff was at a different table, and when it came time to do a design on my nails she said no because they closed 30 minutes ago… so why make my appointment if it would take that long. The owner told me it’s because my appointment was for gel manicure but I got hard gel.? Yes I am supposed to know the difference but my receipt said GEL MANICURE. Very disappointed and will not be going back
