This was a fun course but not sure it was top 100 in the world fun though. I’ve played a lot of courses that felt better than this but aren’t in the top 100. I am still giving it 5 stars because 4 would be an insult. This course is well laid out with two 9 hole course loops. This gives someone an opportunity to play all 18 or, if limited on time, one of the two 9 hole loops. I was on my way to catch a flight and risked playing all 18 and with all the casual players there, it was a risk worth taken, nonetheless.
Overall, the course itself was well maintained. Fairways were well manicured. There were two tee pads, made of brick, for many of the holes with some exceptions. Those with one tee pad were noted on the tee signs. All long tees had a sign but not all short tees did. There were two baskets in mixed positions (varying in length), red and silver/grey, on every hole. Hole 16 with the hanging basket might have been the only hole with one basket. There were also benches, made of either wood or stone, at most tee pads. There were no garbage cans so plan to carry out what you carry in. I didn’t see a lot of garbage so I assume there is a common respect for this course.
It was recommended, by locals, I play shorts tees to red baskets since I had limited time, but in the end, I could have played the longs. It took me an hour and fifteen minutes to play a round and that was with taking photos and waiting on a few holes for others before passing. Signage on the long tee pads were newer looking and contained the pertinent information such as Hole #, Par, Next Tee location, two tee pads, if applicable, both basket locations and their distance. The short tee signs were older and basic. Next tee signs were strategically placed throughout the course, providing directions, thus not requiring UDisc to find your way around. There was also a course map at the beginning of the course if you feel inclined to photo it for reference.
The course is mostly wooded but not too technical. There are a few open field holes and a few holes where water comes into play but nothing two difficult. There are also some elevated up or down hill shots but most were flat. Pars were disagreeably generous with some of the holes. Some baskets had cool surrounding structures built around them giving them a unique style. Course is cart friendly.
The course is also shared with a hiking path, but I did not see the path overlapping with the disc golf course. They seemed to be well separated. West of the course had the Stafford Farm and east side there was a subdivision; neither of which came into play but should be taken in consideration by players when using foul language. If I lived in the area, I’d easily drive an hour once a month to play this course a few times through. I highly recommend stopping here if...
