Seems People/Customers can be real mean when they are told something they dont want to hear or accept! The Individual wrote with bad grammar below, thus with a non real name called "OnThe Edge" is really On The Edge. Seems this individual has left bad reviews on Two other local shop listings because he has been denied service for the products purchased elsewhere! So, with that stated, "OnThe Edge"(Fake Name Individual that left a bad review for Boom Did It) and made a angered choice to try and cause damage to local businesses by falsifying that they could not do good work and also stating they sell junk or bad products! Horrible actions by this person and should be disregarded fully.
Life is too short Mr./Mrs. OnThe Edge! You made a choice to buy Online or somewhere else and you have been refused! Suffer your choice with your money well spent for your mind and keep trying to have a shop install it!

Businesses are here to make money and not cause damage to vehicles or be placed in a debating conversation with a customer because the product they bought from Online or some other store doesnt work or causes damage to your vehicle! And, even it does not work correctly! People understand this major point to be made even if you do not understand by now!

You contacted Boom Did It Customs, Cars and Stereos, Expert Electronics and was turned away. You got mad and was denied installation and I am sure the shops tried to explain and you once again got very angry for no reason but of your own accord!
This is why you were denied and I asked Boom Did It Customs "Boomer"
Boomer - Stated he does not know where that item truly came from! Is it refurbished/remanufactured in anyway? How do you know? You bought from somewhere else, where did they get it from to sell to you? With that said, look we are installing this remote starter that Origin we do not know at all into the Electrical if your personal or business vehicle and if it is bad and causes electrical shorts or a fire, God forbid anything else goes bad because of your product you bought else where.
Now, the customer on average is going to be not happy or is going to get mad at us if a problem was to take place and then would want us to contact our insurance and pay for damage or buy a new remote starter etc, and now that causes a major debate and possible argument of whats right and wrong!
This is a situation that is Not Going To Be Ever Placed On Us Because We Will Not Install It At All! So, NoWe Wont Install Other Peoples Remote Starters.
We are to make our purchasing Customers Happy With Valid Warranty from Major Named Brand Products that we sell with our certified installation!
We try to avoid these phone call situations and we get cursed at and is not called for and we do not deserve it because you the customer made a attempt to buy elsewhere!
After hearing this from Boomer-Boom Did It Customs its very clear that people/Customers can be some mean individuals and are not fair in life to many! I observed all of the reviews made overall by this "OnThe Edge" (Fake Name Bad review individual) and all but one is negative on his personal page.
I trust with all my heart and employment skill set as a "Federal Correctional Officer" of 23 Years that Boom Did It is worthy of any task unless told different by them, that they can complete car audio and remote starters to the Top Quality standard available in the Upper Illinois Area!
I enjoy and my family loves the new stereo and remote starter for my new vehicle purchased a few weeks ago!

I said I was interested in the pricing of a remote start, so he responds with "well that will depend on the vehicle"....um okaaay....so I asked if he would like to know the year make and model so he says yeah....then he asks me if it's a push or key start...he says 279 to 299 depending on something I dont even remember now (just 2 mins later) since his tone and lack of interest in the conversation just had my mind reeling.
Then I ask him if that was for a 1 or 2 way remote and he says that's for a 1 way a 2 way would be an extra 100.. I said to him "man your tone is like you're not interested in my business at all" SO HE HANGS UP ON ME!!! This was the 2nd place I'd called. The first place was expert electronics and the lady that answered there was chipper, asked questions to learn what car it was, offered the pricing on the one way and two was without my asking. The only reason why I called for another estimate was becasue I realized EE were in maxhesney park and I live on the SE part of Rockford, and with a 2-3 hour installation, I figured I'd take an uber and MP seemed like too far for an uber so I looked for a place in Rockford and got this sorry excuse for a business to give my money to. I have a Dodge Charger (pursuit/police edition) he told me there was a possibility that they may have altered the computer and it wouldn’t connect to the remote starter device, if that was the case I would pay for labor not the part- he got here and got everything together, was trying to program the remotes to the car but the cold killed my battery so he took me to get another one (what a guy!) installed the battery and got to work. It ended up giving him a lot of computer trouble (cop cars 🙄) but he was determined to figure out a workaround and made it work! (I was ready to consider it a loss but he wasn’t going down without a fight) Safe to say Im so excited to not have to go outside with wet hair in the morning to start my car! He made sure to explain how everything worked which was nice, brought up things to think about as far as maintenance of the car/battery/etc as well as other well rounded knowledge.
