Come in about once a week to see what's new. Love the merchandise. My house is practically made of home emporium. However customer service is the worst. The cashier with the multicolored hair is the pits. She doesn't seem to care about the customer or her job. Anyway, I came in Monday for a few things. Go to rugs and I get no assistance. I asked for some help and was told to hold on I'll be there in a minute. I'm wondering why I have to wait when I'm the only customer in the area. Rug guy goes back to straighten rugs. I walk off and ask for a manager. He's paged a few times before he responds. Still takes about 15 minutes for him to show. Michael finally graces me with his presence. I tell him my situation and he said ok, stands there for a second and then walks off. I think he's going to talk to the rug guy but he keeps going past towards the restroom. I stand there for a while but he doesn't return. A week before Michael was having a staff meeting and I hear him stressing the importance of customer service and his decade of managerial experience at Walmart. Based on his customer service skills there's no wonder why I don't shop at Walmart. Came back in yesterday because Monday left a sour taste in my mouth and I had to pickup some will call items. I asked for a corporate number. A manager is called. She asks can she help me and I relay Mondays experience to her. She apologized for the behavior exhibited on Monday. She assisted with my will call, helped me locate the items that I had come in for on Monday and gave me a coupon while apologizing again. Thanks again Erica. Great store but with a few exceptions, customer service is lacking. Makes it worse when a manager has poor customer...
Read moreLet me start of by saying this company has completely left me feeling robbed of $500 for a piece of wood from Bali that had an invisible hairline crack that me nor anyone else in the store had noticed at the time of purchase. This piece of decorative wood was going to be used as a show piece for my office. However once the project had been complete it wasn't but about a week or two later. My desk started to split apart for no reason to the point where I felt like the whole deck was ready to collapse. If it wasn't for the fact that I spent $498.00 to have a beautiful desk that was a work of art for my business, I could give a crap less. But just to let everyone know a little that I've learned about this company. They don't honor their product or their customers and I think it's a shame that businesses like these get away with not either replacing with another equal item or at least store credit. Me of course got neither. I'm a class A general contractor for residential and commercial I will never be back to this store again and based on the way this company conducts business and their lack of quality staff or service including their manager "James" who had no real reason for why a return or replacement was not an option, I will be sure to let anybody who asks me of this company and tell...
Read moreThe store overall has nice stuff. Some a little pricey but still good & unique stuff. Went in today & had worst twilight zone experience ever. I'm waiting for someone to help me with a countertop. Store stay pretty busy so I wait my turn. Start talking to this guy about my house renovation. Telling him a few things, besides the countertop, that I'm there to get. After about a 10 minutes wait I am helped. The girl that works in that department is always bubbly & helpful. After a few questions she turns to ask the guy that I was talking to a question about a possible discount due to damage & he sits there with a dumb look on his face. He barely acknowledge her. Come to find out he's the new manager! So the whole time I was waiting he could have helped me! Not once did he offer to help or say who he was & he never responded to her asking about a discount. SMH. Wasn't to fond of the last manager Roger, what a jerk. But this guy... Well done home emporium for another jacked up manager. I'll wait & time my visit for the dread hair lady manager & the short guy manager. Can't remember their names but at least they...
