I've never been wowed by employee interactions in this store. They have a decent selection of stuff but knowing how to find anything is impossible. There isn't a clear standard or plus size section so you end up grabbing something in the wrong size because part of the label is covered by a price tag. You can't come back to exchange (because duh you can't return intimate items) so you're stuck with something that won't fit. Almost like it was an intentional placement choice to boost sales. Things aren't organized by type; there's bodysuits, bikini sets, stockings, and robes all hung randomly wherever they land so you can't just come in looking for stockings and go straight to a stockings section. There are some areas of specific things (men's wear, pasties) but it's like they gave up keeping the general lingerie in any sense of order. Employees have time to organize boxed merchandise if they have time to be wearing Airpods listening to something on their phone behind the desk. I used to work in a store like this and I'd be embarrassed if customers had this kind of experience in my store.
In regard to included photo, this is where the sticker was placed before purchasing. It wasn't until I got home and noticed on the back it was labeled "Queen Size". If the sticker hadn't been covering the same label on the front I'd have known I needed to find a different pair, and I'd have had an even easier time if the standard and plus sizes were grouped together to reduce browsing time. Clothing stores organize clothing by size range, lingerie stores should be no different. Especially when customers can't just exchange the mistake due to hygiene regulations.
To the business owner: If these organizational choices are based on the "if people have to actively look at things and ask employees questions they're more likely to buy more" business model, it's a bad model. Most customers like to find what they're looking for without needing an employee, especially ones that don't appear to be motivated to...
Read moreI've been to this location a couple of times before and never had an issue. We've previously purchased several items from this location and normally arrive around the same time. Tonight I went in with my boyfriend. The cashier let us know immediately that they were closing soon and we acknowledge that they close at midnight. Twice she informed us at the time of 11:40 p.m. 20 minutes to browse was plenty of time for us but we were quickly stopped in the midst of our browsing. The cashier ask me if I could leave my purse at the front of the store. I said no, that it was my personal items in the purse. I offered to place it behind the counter towards the back and asked could I leave it there so that I could keep an eye on my bag and that I certainly didn't want anyone going through my belongings. She said that was fine so I did. My boyfriend realizing that she was targeting me as a person of color was upset and immediately said let's go, I I asked if he was sure and if he wanted what we came to get and he said no let's go so I picked my purse up from the spot I had laid it and exited with him. When getting into the car he stated that he was furious because the other couple that was inside, the woman had a purse similar to the size of mine and was not asked to put it up. This other woman was not a woman of color so my boyfriend felt that I was pointed out and he felt very out of place with her rudeness. We have spent a lot of money on several items with this company in two different locations. I can't say that we will return to this one given the attitude we received. Not quite sure if we're done with the company as a whole but definitely done with this employee. On previous shopping trips we've been pleased with affordable items compared to other local places but we will definitely just start shopping online for even cheaper than this place and without the...
Read moreI am 20 years of age. I understand that I look young. I’ve been a dancer for two years now, and have been carded almost everywhere I go. I completely understand the need to see my ID to confirm my age. I’ve shopped here many tines before because it’s convently close to my work. However they will never get a dime of my money again. As someone who’s shopped there over a dozen times, I walked in without worry about my ID. As soon as we entered the store me and my coworker, who is over 21 were immediately asked for identification. I understand the need to ask so we both said “Okay” and even tho it was POURING turned to head to my car. But the employee was not done, she again told me I had to get my ID in a very deeming tone, when I was already heading towards the very close door. When I walked back in, the woman decided to further patronize me about my age. I was also the only person of color in the store. At this point it was clearly personal as I had already handed her my ID showing my age. A slight argument broke out from the tone she was using when I had done nothing but walked into the store. This is when she told me to leave, as if I had even touched an item. As I was leaving she felt the need to contiue to parorainze me and as I was at the door, I turned around to give her a last look, and the Grown woman, the employee was directly in my face. This is when the tone completely changed. The employees at this store are racist clearly racially changered. I have never in my life felt the need to give any place of business a bad review. I don’t believe it’s worth the effort. But I have never in my life felt more ostracized for doing simply the color of my skin and appearance. The clothes aren’t even that cute btw. Not worth your money or your time. It’s 2019 and racism is hopefully going to end. But situations like this must...
