CHA — Local services in Chicago

The CHA's "BIGGEST" mistake of, '2021 was when they brought in "East Lake Management" to replace Habitat Management, 'inwhich, subsequently ended the old maintenance crew jobs, that was at Minnie Riperton along side Habitat. The prior maintenance crew done an excellent job at keeping, Minnie Riperton clean and functioning in the past years of 2019, 2020, and subsequently 2O21. Simply said, 'CHA should've allow that maintenance crew of the past to remain at, Minnie Riperton and - if for nothing else - for the excellent work they was doing - for the past several years of service. But 'East Lake Management, wanted to release the old maintenance individuals at, Minnie Riperton while Habitat was at the helm, only to bring in their own maintenance team within the East Lake Co ; and since that time with, East Lake Management at the helm, it's been like a 'tragedy in itself, waiting to happen!! The maintenance of old - not the new - kept up their responsibilities in keeping, Minnie Riperton clean and functioning, unlike the "East Lake Management maintenance crew presently! I mean....the maintenance individuals who was there for the past several years, wasn't even affiliates of Habitat whatsoever..That's even more reason why they should've been able to stay, especially being of a different entity from the, Habitat Management all...

I've been waiting on my lease for weeks! and still no update of when I could move in. Everytime I call them they just keep saying the same thing it's under review, it's under review like okay this is very annoying, all I want to know is when can I move in. It shouldn't take this long to get my lease and move in this is just stupid. I've been in two shelters now currently in my second and been homeless for 1 year and 6 months. They also never answer the phone and have the nerve to have an attitude when you ask them why everything with the move in process is so slow. 🙄 They just aren't doing their job at all and just don't care about the homeless crowd of individuals in Chicago. CHA's website says they close at 5 pm and so does their satellite office on S Albany. I got here at 4 pm. After re explaining multiple times whom I was there to see they couldn't even call the person because they didn't know who the person was (no directory available?). Finally I was redirected to the 9th floor by the main floor trained staff member but it was too late because it now was 430 pm also I couldn't go to the 9th floor because the elevator was broken and then the people on the 9th floor don't work until 5:00 p.m. they leave at 430pm.
