Esthetically Carmen — Local services in Chicago

Got my brows ombre powdered with Carmen and I really enjoyed my experience! I have gotten them done one other time in Taiwan but the ombre disappeared off the face of this earth immediately. I feel like Carmen has a really good eye for what looks good on your face she said she wanted to do "soft brows" and I was like ok great! I am not the professional so I always prefer to let the professional do their thing. She outlined and filled in my brows how she wanted first and I really didn't have much to say they looked good to me. She also was really informative and patient giving information such as the color it would fade to or the fact that I have darker brows so she would match the ombre powder color closer to my brow color. Didn't hurt very much and Carmen even dealt with my right brow bleeding a little (only my right) and explained that sometimes people's brows just have different sensitivities since I was convinced I had somehow done something weird. I’m beyond disappointed with my experience. If I could leave negative stars, I would. The tattoo I received from Carmen looks like a temporary press-on that’s already flaked. It’s obvious the ink didn’t penetrate properly to the second layer of skin, yet Carmen refuses to take any responsibility. Despite multiple emails, she won’t refund a cent or admit to the poor quality of her work.

She claims the area is “prone to fading,” but this isn’t fading — it’s completely missing in spots. There’s no trace of ink in several areas, which clearly points to a technical issue, not natural fading. What’s worse, she expects me to pay for a touch-up. Absolutely not. I’ll be taking my business to a more professional and experienced artist who understands quality and accountability.

Carmen is a true professional! I cannot recommend her enough for her skill & pricing! It was my first time ever getting ombré powder brows, and I am so glad I trusted Carmen! She is very meticulous about her art, and I felt a part of the process the entire time. I love how much time and precision she took with me, and of course, I am beyond happy with the results! I feel like an actual human with my new brows! Brows really make a difference on the face, and I love how Carmen helped get the eyebrow shape that best suits my face!
