Easy & Affordable Movie Night 🍿🎥

Amazing place! I was looking up a cool place to see and a movie and saw this place. The ticket price isn’t too bad per car and getting to the place isn’t too difficult. You tune into the sound through your radio, but if you don’t want to keep the car running, they will lend you a radio if you give them your id, but it is free! The staff were also super helpful and welcoming, I couldn’t figure out how to turn my parking lights off but they helped me find the parking brake and turn it off! The food is also very good. You order online and you get a popcorn for free with every order. We got wings for a really good price and they were very big and very tasty, a frozen mango cup, delicious and cheap, and the popcorn which was free and amazing. I have also heard that the tacos are really good. The food is brought to you so you can just stay in your car and watch your movie! The screen is also big and the parking is spread out enough that you don’t feel cramped. Overall, an amazing place to see a drive-in movie with great staff and food! Definitely will be going back!

SUCH a fun time (even on a chilly December evening in Chicago)— I took my kids to see Home Alone and we all had a great time. We arrived about 20 minutes before the show started. We were greeted by a super kind gentleman who directed us where to go, easily parked our car, and we’re given a sheet of paper with the QR code for ordering food and drinks. We ordered the chicken tacos, the beef tacos (both were amazing, and the salsa it came with 👌🏽👨🏻‍🍳 💋) popcorn + a burger & hotdog for the kids — it was brought quickly to our car shortly after ordering. Food was great & the experience was great— my kids can’t wait to go back again. This is a must-do for a fun family night or date night. Thanks, ChiTown Movies! Heads up: I recommend bringing a portable FM radio — I got one from Amazon for ~$25. It provided great sound and we didn’t have to worry about our car battery taking a hit.

We (my boyfriend, dog and I) went to see a movie at ChiTown Movies drive-in on a Friday night. We had a great time, and even though we were about 2/3 of the way back in the parking lot, we had a great view of the screen with minimal obstructions. Upon arrival, we were given a piece of paper with instructions for getting audio for the movie and ordering food and drinks. Parking spots were tight, but there were staff to help guide us into the spot. The staff were very friendly.

All of the food and drinks were very reasonably priced. I was really surprised at how cheap food/drinks were, and especially at how great the food was. We ordered asada steak nachos, 3 chicken tacos, a small popcorn and two Corona’s. While the food order took longer than the 10 minute estimate listed on the piece of paper we were given upon arrival, food came out fairly quickly (25 minutes for the nachos, tacos and beer, and 10 minutes for the popcorn we ordered later). The nachos were delicious and loaded up with beans, guacamole, salsa, sour cream, etc. The tacos were served piping hot, and with an optional side of hot sauce. All of our food was delivered straight to our car after ordering online - a very seamless experience. The only challenge we almost faced was opening our Corona’s - they arrived to us without the bottle tops removed, and they were not twist tops. Thankfully, my boyfriend has a bottle opener on his keychain, but something to keep in mind in case you aren’t quite as prepared.

Overall, this was a great date night and something fun and different to do. Ticket prices are by car, so if you’re going with just two people, the price may be a bit high. However, if you load up your car and bring the whole crew, this is a very affordable night out and just a ton of fun! We can’t wait to go again soon!

NOTE: My ticket price and a small popcorn was free through a promotion from Yelp Elites. I was not otherwise paid or compensated...

I gave it 3 stars because I've been to other movies in the park and they allow you to bring your own food and beverages, you have to get what they have. One if my son's have food allergies and so do I...my allergy is to Corn and Egg and of course they use corn oil to cook and prepare their food. My son has fish, shellfish, dairy, soy, egg, peanuts, treenuts allergies, I have to prepare everything...my son was ONLY allowed to have fries. I wish they would take into consideration of people who have food allergies and be more acceptable of allowing people to bring their own snacks, not everyone can have what they offer. However the prices were okay, but if you don't have your own radio you ha e to either use one of theirs which we had to use 2 because with 1 we could barley hear the movie or have your car runing the entire movie time and gas is way too high to just have my car running. However they did allow us to use 2 radios I just had to give my ID to use them. It was okay overall the picture of the screen was good...but the menu choice is good for only those who DONT have food allergies. The only beverage they had to offer that was non carbonated was water. Again they should consider allowing people to bring their own snacks because they don't cater...
