Holtzmann's — Local services in Chicago

After looking online and at a couple of different ‘big box’ type jewelry stores for an engagement ring and just not finding what we wanted, we decided we wanted to go the route of having a custom ring made, and so we ended up at Holtzmann’s. Pam and Pat Holtzmann are the most phenomenal folks around. When you’re in their store, you feel like family. They are super friendly, and made you feel comfortable from the get-go. They are both super patient, and they really take the time to educate you on different stones, and different aspects of design to help make sure that you’re creating a jewelry piece that will last a lifetime with proper care.

We ended up having my engagement ring and my husband‘s wedding ring made by them, and then after having my husbands wedding ring made, I ended up wanting to make a more feminine, mini-version of his ring to be able to wear myself as well, and they helped us make that too.

The quality of the jewelry pieces we received is outstanding, and working with Pam and Pat was the same. We valued getting to work with them so closely on pieces we plan to wear a lifetime!

Although we had rings made, Holtzmann’s specializes in all types of custom jewelry. We happened to pop into the store at the tail end of another couple leaving who had the most beautiful custom bracelet made, and at another visit saw someone picking up a necklace that they had redesigned with stones from a different necklace they no longer wore anymore. All of those jewelry pieces were amazing too.

Engagement Ring Shopping- I went shopping for a diamond for my fiancé, now wife's engagement ring. I did my homework before shopping to figure out what I was looking for in regards to cut, color, clarity and size. I calculated out my budget and I set out to a few jewelry stores in the city, non of which were a shopping mall chain jeweler. I gave each of them all the specs including my out the door price. Holzmann's was the only one to show me diamonds that fit my description and were listed in my price range. All the others showed me stones that were outside of my budget. All of the other stores played the game of "this is a great stone for this price" but all were over my out the door price. At Holtzmann's my experience was nothing short of outstanding. It took me about a month to find the perfect diamond, and they were nothing but patient and only showed me stones I could afford. Never once was there any pressure to buy. I was able to purchase an amazing stone for a lot less than the other stores, and the quality of the diamond was better than the other stores as well. I would highly recommend Holtzmann's. Stop what you’re doing and book an appointment at Holtzmann’s! We worked with a different jeweler for my engagement ring (before knowing Holtzmann’s even existed) and had a terrible experience. I started researching again for a reliable jewelry (again!) and someone had recommend Holtzmann’s in a local Facebook group. Pam & Pat immediately made us feel at home when we walked through the front door. We trusted their guidance and expertise so much so that we cancelled our next jewelry appointment at another business that afternoon.
