Wanted to try this place for the first time. We stopped by as a party of 2 on a Sunday evening for dinner at 7:30pm. Right off the bat, we were told there was no doner because the tired server said they had a busy weekend. My American companion wanted to really try it yet we begrudgingly opted for their kebabs. Was about to order entrees and the server said they ran out of rice too. We are really starting to question why we are in a Turkish restaurant with no doner and rice. Maybe donāt open the place if you ran out of staples? Prior to ordering entrees, we ordered two glasses of wine which arrived 20 min later after we flagged down our server. The server and the bartender were bored out of their mind and on their phones in the dining room floor. Yet, they had customers waiting for service. We woke them up away from their phone by flagging down for our check. The empty dishes sat in front of us for 15 minutes. Anatolia isnāt one of those cheap Mediterranean shawarma/falafel joints. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe've needed Anatolia! It is a great new place that features Turkish and related cuisine. The menu choices are well considered, the recipes remarkable, and the service first rate. The wines are a nice selection of Turkish, French, and Italian vintages. The beautiful bar features Raki, which is similar to ouzo, but with. It's own distinctive flavor. Appetizers are outstanding, including hummus and items like Pink Lady, a beet-and-yogurt dish. Don't miss the lentil soup! Breads are house made and quite appealing. For main courses, Anatolia offers a variety of kabob, along with doner and doner-related main courses. Anatolia hits all the right marks with style.
