Marina Towers Condominum Association — Local services in Chicago

My wife and I have been loving here for almost three years. At first it was awesome, beautiful views of the city, easy access to all that downtown Chicago has to offer. That and the balconies are the only things that save this from being a one star.

It truly is communal living here at Marina towers. If you or your neighbors are the slightest bit above a volume level of a library they, or you can hear them. If you sneeze or cough expect a "bless you" from the floor above, below and the apartments next to you. The valet parking is awesome convenience but it's incredibly expensive compared to just parking your vehicle a few blocks away and walking.

On to the last park of the review. The condo association and the folks who manage the property are slow to react to any issues or problems. If you don't want to be notified about construction in adjacent apartments this is the place for you. If you call security and like a lack of response then this is also a place for you.

I really want to give this building more stars. It has been awesome living in a building I grew up dreaming of living in. However the whole experience of living here has really pointed out the flaws in a building built in the 60's. The security for this company is extremely rude. We went to a show at HOB tonight and after waiting over an hour to meet the band, there were 8 of us and we were told we were ok to be there by everyone from the show, but security comes down as the band is coming to talk to us and tells us we have to leave. We ask if we can say hi since they are in front of us and we have been waiting over an hour and we were told to leave or they will call the police. They were rude to us and the band. I understand having rules but there was no need for them to act like that. I stopped to ask the HOB security a question and the security guards started yelling and threatened to call the cops again.
