Wow, were to start? From the first call to Hill’s to the final handshake as we left, they made us feel well cared for, listened to us, were honest about the problem and solutions… and most of all did a fantastic job of repairing our vehicle. It is nice to find people you can really trust. We were on our way to Fort Worth, Texas to see our grandchildren. We had replaced the radiator and thermostat before we left CA. We had also put on new tires, new brakes, changed the oil, filled all the fluids and thought our 2004 4Runner was ready for the trip. A few hours out of Fort Worth the check engine light went on and the heat gauge started going up. We called AAA and were towed to Hill’s Repair in Childress, TX. To be honest, we had our doubts about getting a decent repair on our vehicle in a small town. We were so wrong, and we only wish we had such a good mechanic close to us in our home town. They found a leaky hose that had not been tightened down correctly and an old leaky hose our mechanic had missed. Hill's even had the water pump in stock for our vehicle. Jeremy graciously drove us to a local eatery for a great homestyle lunch, and the team stayed late that afternoon to try and get our car finished so we could leave that day. Unfortunately, the seal that came with the water pump would not seal. They drove us to a motel that evening. The next day they drove a 2 hour round trip to pick up another water pump so we would not be delayed another day. The team installed the pump that morning, test drove our car, picked us up from the hotel and we were on our way after lunch. They went above and beyond making sure our 4Runner was truly ready for us to finish our trip and make a safe return trip home. Thank you so much Jeremy and team. We are forever...

We were on our way back from our 4th of July trip and was passing by Childress around 6 in the morning when our excursion broke down. Called hill's and got an answer within the 2nd ring, told him what had happened and said "I'm on my way". I called him a second time because I had forgotten to mention that I was hauling my travel trailer and his response was "I gotcha". After hooking it up and asking me for the title lol he took me into town dropped off my trailer at his yard and took me to this shop. Got it diagnosed within minutes and my transmission was out. They quickly started looking for a replacement with me in the office so I can hear all the conversation without any hidden charges and was able to find one but it wasn't going to be in town till 5 days later. This is where the southern hospitality kicks in. He told me he would move us around town if we needed a ride, he would leave the trailer at his yard OR move it to a trailer park and get me hooked up if I was planning on staying and would make sure my stay would be as comfortable as can be because I had my entire family with me. We didn't end staying because we had to get back to work but left with a calm feeling knowing my truck was in good hands. We came back when we were told it would be ready and drove back home with it no problems what do ever.
I can't thank these guys enough for what they did for us, they promised and they delivered. And for that every time I pass by there I will be stopping by just to say "hey". BTW your number has been save to my phone and will be calling you from time to time just to see...

However, the folks at Hill's Motors are truely there to help you. Without a doubt the best mechanic shop I have ever been to. When the wheels fell off of my handicapped short bus I live in, the folks at Hill's Motors did an outstanding job at getting us back on the road safely. Even though they knew that it would inconvenience us and our timing of our travels they were insistent on making sure that the safety of me, my girlfriend, and our two dogs was of the up most importance.
One particular thing stood out for me that doesn't happen often in mechanic shops is that when I brought up something I had learned that contradicted the advice they had been giving me, they legitimately took what I had to say seriously. After researching the matter they realized that they had been mistaken. Everyone is human, and not everyone can know everything about every vehicle, and for them to acknowledge that is quite remarkable. They could have easily let their pride get in the way like many other mechanics, but they didn't.
Special nod to Corey for the exceptional work. After driving down some rather bumpy roads since leaving Childress, we feel very confident that the wheels won't fall off our lovely Clementine again.
Thank you for the work and exceptional...
