The History Store — Local services in Chillicothe

Absolutely love the atmosphere of the store and I was hoping to make more trips there being as they had some Vallejo modeling paints, but the gentleman working there was very rude about my 2 year old son playing with a toy tank. And then proceeded to tell him he was playing with it the incorrect way. Even took the tank to “show us” and then made the accusation he had broken it. We were staying at the Willis-James B&B when we found out our host, Drew, was the proprietor of The History Store. His formidable passion and knowledge about Ohio’s history was engaging so we stopped by the store for a “few minutes.” We ended up staying for well over an hour. There was so much to see and learn there– miniature historical figures from W.Britain, books aplenty, books galore, and more. Stopped in after a wonderful stay at the Willis James B & B. Talk about history! This place is awesome and the owner is knowledgeable in the history of the Ohio territory. I could have spent hours listening and learning about the Indian tribes and locations of the area. If not for the parking meter, I would have pulled up a chair. We will visit again...
