I took my 3 year old to jump on Monday, May 5 at about 6:00 and he always has fun except this time there was a party and 3 boys dressed in black and yellow jerseys with blond hair were bullying him. They were older than him my son is tall for his age and has long dark hair and called him a girl (he’s Native American) I was there watching him the entire time. They pushed him down numerous times and my son pushed back and I don’t tolerate bullying but no one is going to bully my 3 year old! There was no adult or employee to monitor the children , 1 little girl was pushed and started crying and she left. My son started crying and I went to see the manager and he told us they can’t control children and there were no parents they were with a party. But he did talk to a adult and the 3 boys ( not sure if that was true) I was given a free pass but my son does not want to go to Geronimo’s again . I talked to him and told him that to stand up for yourself because not all kids are bullies. When he gets older I will tell him that people will treat him different just because of his skin color and long hair and to defend himself and other people. There were actually some pretty well behaved children there with parents who were watching their children and not sitting and talking. Employees need to move around the room and the waiver should have a No Bully Policy and a adult with the party should monitor instead of sitting there talking as the manager pointed...
Read moreI'm giving it 2 stars because we had a great time and the gentlemen at the desk was great. Very helpful and kind. The girl though, could've been a lot better.
So, first of all, make sure you don't live 30 minutes away, make sure you don't have to fill your car up with gas beforehand, and make sure you expect to have paper copies of any coupons you have, because apparently they can't accept digital coupons, so you'll have to pay double what you originally planned to pay with a buy one get one coupon. Don't bother looking on their website for any kind of information about coupons either. There's nothing there about it.
We got there and had finished filling out all of the paperwork on the devices and had everything set up to go. We present the coupon on my phone and she comes up interrupting us and tells us they won't accept it because it's digital. They apparently won't accept anything digitally other than their own coupons. She continues to be a snob as we go ahead and pay anyways. She also made sure to validate herself by saying she texted her boss about it. She then goes on saying the company for the coupon is supposed to specify Geranimos doesn't except digital coupons. Ya, tell me how that works. Apparently she thinks they can read Geranimos' minds and know Geranimos can't take digital coupons. Wow.
Anyways, wonderful place to go. Highly recommend. Had a great time. Just killed the spirit with a...
Read moreI had high hopes for the dodgeball tournament at Geronimos, but the referees made it a complete joke. If you’re expecting fair play and competent officiating, don’t bother showing up.
From the very first game, it was obvious that the refs either didn’t know the rules or just didn’t care. Clear outs were ignored, players were staying in after being hit, and some people were getting called out for absolutely nothing. We saw multiple instances where a ref would make a call, only to change their mind after a team complained—how does that even happen?
The inconsistency was beyond frustrating. One moment, a ball grazing someone’s shirt was enough to get them out, and the next, someone would take a direct hit, and the ref would act like they didn’t see it. It wasn’t just bad calls—it was random calls. We tried to get some clarification, but the refs either shrugged it off or got defensive.
By the end, it felt like winning or losing had nothing to do with skill and everything to do with whether the refs happened to be paying attention (which, half the time, they weren’t). If Geronimos wants to hold serious tournaments, they need to train their staff properly. Until then, don’t waste your time.
The only referees that seemed to have a clue what they were doing were Tucker Austin, and...
