I randomly came across The Hive Venue while searching Instagram for Idaho wedding venues last Fall. I immediately fell in love with the look of the venue and also enjoyed reading about Cassidy’s story behind it. We scheduled a video tour with Cassidy which was great since we’re from out of town. We loved all the detail and thought Cassidy put into the venue. We love that the venue is beautiful on its own and didn’t need a ton of dressing up as the vision for our wedding was classic and minimalist in design. Cassidy also offers planning services which was super helpful to us because we were not familiar with the area. She helped us pick our vendors based on what our wedding vision was and we ended up loving everyone that she picked out for us. Cassidy really focuses on bringing unique parts of your love story into the day and has a good vision for how things should come together. Our guests had been confused why we would choose Pocatello, ID to get married in (we are from OR and CO) but they understood once they saw the venue. Cassidy was very helpful and always listened well to provide solutions to all of the questions and concerns we had throughout the planning process. We used the honey studio upstairs for a cocktail hour which it was great to have the additional space while the downstairs was being turned over for the reception. We had about 65 people in attendance at the wedding and I would say that was probably close to the max for accommodating a full, traditional wedding and sit down dinner for a wedding reception if you’re also wanting a dance floor or any other activities (we also had a photobooth and bar area) through the night. With that many tables and chairs it made us have to move things around after dinner so there was enough space for the dancing part of the reception. We would definitely recommend The Hive and Cassidy for your wedding or other event needs in the Pocatello area. She was also our photographer and we can’t get enough of all the photos she took and edited for us! The only other piece I would say here is if you’re going to have Cassidy take you photos (which we highly recommend) then we would also suggest that it would be helpful to have a day of coordinator on site to keep the rest of the day flowing smoothly and allow Cassidy to just focus...
Read moreThe Hive is perfect for any event, and a photographer's dream come true! There are so many details that you don't find in other wedding venues in the area. I did a wedding there during the harshest and brightest time of the day, yet because of the design of the Hive the images all turned out incredible! Rain or shine - this venue will be amazing.
Pros: Ample natural light Brides room with a bathroom, large counter space, hooks for everyone to hang their clothing, large mirror, couch, chairs, and more! -Grooms room is amazing too. Just take the bride's room and put a masculine spin on it. My second shooter spent the most time in there, but they mentioned they have never seen a better grooms room! TV + gaming console and wet bar kept all the groomsmen occupied until the wedding started. Kitchen. The warming kitchen is BIG, and super clean. Main room has windows galore allowing for the best lighting possible throughout the entire day. Grounds were perfectly manicured and beautiful. Multiple guests made comments about this. Cleanliness! Everything was SO clean, and there was a warm and welcoming feeling. Overall space was beautiful. You could be as minimal or big as you want and it will look gorgeous. This space can fit anyone's vision, wants, or needs. Our bride said the booking process was amazing and easy. She felt like The Hive cared.
Cons: We don't shoot here nearly enough. If every wedding we photographed was at the Hive we would be on cloud nine!

Read moreThis is truly a very beautiful venue. Our children decided to get married and said they wanted to elope. We convinced them to let us celebrate them with a party but that only gave us a week to plan. Thanks to Cassidy and The Hive the celebration was a tremendous success. The Hive set up and tore down for us. Cassidy even went out of her way to order some rustic table linens in the wedding color and decorated for us. Our guests of 200+ were comfortable. There are enough restrooms and the kitchen was able to serve buffet style by the line walking around the island. The entry way was large enough to accommodate a message book, balloon bouquets and poster sized pictures while still letting the guests mingle and participate. There were so many incredibly beautiful places for photography. The bride and groom suites are massive and lots of girls were in doing makeup, hair, nails and dressing! They had plenty of room with the best lighting, mirrors and countertops.
The venue was incredibly easy to access. It's very near the exit of I-86 AND the exit of I-15 covering out of town guests arriving from north, south, east and west. It is located near Yellowstone Avenue on Chubbuck Road.
Thank you Cassidy and The Hive for our incredible and unforgettable wedding reception! You made us look like planning and party rock stars and all we had to do...
