This time around, I spilled some water on my laptop, and needed to install a replacement keyboard. Chris took me as a walk-in at their office location, zero wait time. He even let me sit and watch him work. He explained every step; I thoroughly enjoyed learning from him. Chris was deliberate and gentle during disassembly, which included removing and keeping track of some 25-30 tiny screws and multiple ribbon cables. The keyboard was nested behind a board secured with some 20 plastic contact points which were not designed to be removed. Rather than apply pressure and risk breaking components, Chris smartly used a mini-grinder to free them. He cleaned up debris before reassembly, and allowed me to test the keyboard extensively. He made sure that the keyboard not only worked, but also took time to optimize the tactile response of the keys. The repair worked beautifully.
This was the first time Chris replaced the keyboard on my particular laptop model. It was clear to me that the manufacturer discouraged self-repairing the keyboard with their design. Faced with new territory, Chris showcased confidence, competence, and patient focus. It was apparent to me he likes a challenge and has a no-quit attitude. What we envisioned to be a 1 to 1.5 hour job turned out to be 2.5 hours - yet he never charged me more than the original quote. I threw in a tip because I was impressed.
During our banter, I learned about other projects he was working on requiring interesting skills, such as: removing multiple bent pins (and then soldering on replacement pins) on a very expensive computer chip; or using a thermal device to locate a short on a fuse that was smaller than a grain of sand. Chris' workstation, including his cabinet of spare parts, was immaculately organized. From the way he dressed, to the way he spoke and carried himself - sharp. Even when I first arrived, I noticed he was studying technical videos on computer repair for fun.
Honest, conscientious, organized, people skills, technical skills, values continuing education, clearly likes his craft - that's the definition of a...
Read moreSTAY AWAY!!! About a month ago I had an issue with my hard drive I called I guess his name is Caesar. First off he took forever to come to my place and when I would text him he would respond back saying he's 10 mins away but that was a lie. Secondly, when he arrived he was more focused on watching the tv rather than fixing my computer. Lastly, when he finally finish the repairs he informed me that he installed Kodi and the OS. After he left, I noticed that my computer was moving slow or just won't turn on at all. I didn't think too much of it because i figured it would eventually stopped but the problem continued.
I tried to use my computer again days after the repair but was unable to due to it's slowness and constant shutting off, I had totally given up at that point. As weeks went on my computer sat in my house untouched until I finally remembered he told me i had warranty so when I finally text him about a week or two ago describing my issue and if he could come out to give me diagnostic but he is telling me what is wrong without even physically diagnosting my computer and on top of that he give me a big fat no to come out to my place! I carried my laptop to a legit well-known business and it's now working like a champ and the problem was never what he said it was........ Quality over quantity!
Response to you! Lies Lies Lies I understand that you are trying to maintain a "Good Reputation" for your business by coming on this to make me look like the bad one because you tell your clients to put a good review for you online like you told me. Nonetheless I got it fixed by a real professional and as I mentioned before it was not what you were trying to argue with me about via text. What's done is done you would NEVER get my money again and also you're saying that you saved me money that's bs because it had to get fixed by the professionals itself and to this present day it's working PERFECTLY fine. ONCE AGAIN QUALITY...
Read moreThis is not the place to go if you want honesty and integrity. I am still trying to get him to just man up and take care of this situation he created but he prefers to avoid it. He prefers to post replys that aren't even close to the truth. I still have a windows 10 program that is still unopened because I noticed that it was an oei disk. which is made for licensed installers only and not for retail sale. Its sad that some people would rather try to make a quick buck dishonestly and then move on to another customer/victim. You got me once Cesar and I will persue you until you do the right thing and turn this into a positive experience. All your lying and cheating wont help you. Honesty is always the best course of action. Maybe you should give it a try. Cesar is it that hard for you to do the right thing ? You will spend the time to post a bogus reply but you wont answer the phone or return a call. You have a chance now to work this out. I hope you man up and take it. I'm not going away and I will do my best to see you don't get the opportunity to screw anyone else. This is all so petty that it was hard for me to believe this is the path you choose but then again after learning your past I'm not surprised. I just received this information. The hard drive you put in my computer was made for a laptop. My computer is a desk top. Its been taken out, I bought a new hard drive, installed my original operating system (windows 7 professional ) and now its operating as it should. Everything you did for me had to be redone. I'm kind of wondering why you have so many fake names and the drug convictions you have on your record. I have spoken with a few people that you screwed over and its terrible. I'm still waiting for a call. I'm sure you are saying to yourself "Don't hold your breath as I'll never call" Its a whole lot easier just to be honest and have some integrity but...
