In-N-Out Burger — Restaurant in Chula Vista

Although In-n-Out has made a concerted effort to maximize the staff levels to meet the customer influx, it isn't sufficient.

Corporate should have thought through the ramifications of opening up a medium sized location so close to the California and México border crossings.

Due to its well earned reputation for excellent burgers and friendly, competent employees it was only a matter of time before word got out to Tijuana residents that a new location had opened up off of the 805 freeway and only a couple of miles away from the border crossing lanes into and out of Tijuana-San Diego.

So this particular location not only has to serve the local San Diego residents , it also has to serve all the international travelers and visitors coming in from Tijuana or those driving back home into Mexico. That's a tremendous amount of customers, and the long lines at this In-n-Out location are testament to this pent up demand.

This location should have been designed with 2 drive through lanes and double the seating capacity, like those used at other high transit locations.

The only other nearby In-n-Out is located on the 5 freeway but much further away from the border crossing, which doesn't do much good to alleviate demand at this location. The 5 freeway location is impacted and saturated as well.

Please consider opening up a larger location near this important international crossroads... Or better yet; think outside the box and open up your first international location in Tijuana, Baja California. You've already conquered the heart and taste buds of this cosmopolitan population so it only makes practical sense.

If you can expand into Arizona and Nevada, surely you can expand across the border only a few miles south of San Diego and maintain the quality control In-n-Out brand is...

Went through the drive thru and got a burger. Sat in my car and ate it and saw that there were still about 12 guests in the restaurant eating. Knocked on the door and asked if I could come in to use the restroom and the security guard wouldn’t even open the door so I had to shout through the door. Very embarrassing, He refused to open the door. Then, I went to the drive thru side. I saw some workers and i gestured for them to open the with Dow so I could ask them. They were so rude, they refused to even open the window and again, I had to yell my request to use the bathroom. There were about 12 guests still eating in the restaurant and the employees at the drive thru wi doe (4 of them now) told me they couldn’t let me in. I understand rules. I want trying to order anything else, I just needed to wash my hands and use the restroom, but these employees treated me like some dog on the streets or some criminal and wouldn’t even be respectful enough to open the window or door although there were at least 12 other customers still eating, This is not the customer service I’m used to at in and out and this is not the first time I’ve had trouble at this location.
