Quality on all fronts at this establishment. I first went to Truman's because of it's location across the street from my office. They converted some of my late Father's cufflinks and tie-tacks into earrings and pendants. I was happy with the work so I went to them when I was getting engaged, as I wanted to use my late Mother's engagement ring. They understood the sentimental value and did great work when they resized the ring and reset the new crown. They also created a custom wedding band to fit the odd shape of the engagement ring band. All quality workmanship and Paul is the best. Even though my office moved out of downtown Albany, I still make the trip in to Truman's for my needs. Megan did a great job in resizing some rings for me recently. She also spent a lot of time talking to me about my other jewelry and she has repaired some pieces I had that I had poorly stored (dampness got to them). Recently, I went to purchase earrings that they ordered for me, but after taking a look at them, Paul refused to complete the purchase as he felt the quality of the stones delivered to him were not up to par. He ordered new stones and I will be picking them up shortly. Now, that's good service. I would have never known enough to notice the flaw, but Paul did and his integrity stood out. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Paul and Megan at Truman Jewelers. I came to them looking to design my engagement ring, and Megan was so helpful and responsive throughout the process. I looked through hundreds of settings to find the right one, and then they were able to tweak it slightly so it's truly custom and exactly what I wanted. Everything about the stone and setting is beautiful, and I couldn't be happier. Paul and Megan worked with us so I could have my ideal ring on a timeline and budget that worked for my fiancé and me, and we are so grateful! Edit: After getting my engagement ring with Truman Jewelers, it just made sense to get our wedding rings from them too! Once again, Megan was great to work with, and we were able to find quality rings that fit our budget and our individual styles. Truman Jewelers does excellent jewelry repair and bench work. I have an old platinum ring with three diamonds - about 1 3/4 carats. The ring needed to be resized. It now fits perfectly and I no longer worry about losing it because it was just slightly too big.

Another good thing is the watch selection that they carry. I have a Citizens Solar-Tech watch with eco-drive that I got from Truman Jeweler's about six years ago. Because of the watch's technology (it has a battery that runs on solar!), I have never had to replace the battery. Cool, right?

One more thing - my husband and I got our wedding bands from Truman Jewelers AND I also get all my other jewelry from them too. I especially like the fact that they carry Chamilia beads.
