Today I was downtown Albany for another reason but rarely pass an establishment that sells pizza without trying a slice if they sell by the slice. I went into Elif's to try a slice. I chose a slice of Sicilian (I took a bite before I took the photo)with pepperoni which had some honey added, because it was thinner than most Sicilian, which I like. It was very good. Better than most Sicilian I have tried. The honey gave it an interesting taste. I probably would have preferred it without honey, but I am glad it did so I could sample this unique taste. Well worth a try. I gave it 4 stars, but I am sure that it the rest of the menu tastes as good as customer's photos look, Elif's is a 5 star establishment. I wish I had tried a slice of new york style but I had eaten too much today already. When I am in Downtown Albany again, I will try to stop in for a slice.

Buffet is not self-service… kind of cafeteria style where they plate for you, with generous portions. The manager (maybe owner?) even threw in a soda for free. Very nice people and good food! Going to try pizza another time.

I had a delicious lunch today. After struggling looking over the menu with all the options, I settled on a calzone and it did not disappoint. I went basic with sausage and onion, and it tasted phenomenal. The crust was thin with a crisp to it and the filling was delicious with good quality ingredients. Top it off with the excellent service, and this was the perfect lunch. I would highly recommend this establishment. Thank you for an excellent lunch.

Found this place after getting a menu in the mail. Lamb Gyro was awesome with a ton of sauce! Wife got the #1 Stromboli and said it rocked. Bonus: They deliver across the river to NG! $30 including delivery tip, unheard of in this economy. Hope this place catches on and survives the wasteland downtown Albany has become, we will be back!

Update 3/26/25- Unfortunately had a terrible experience with delivery to our location. Please don’t advertise to deliver across the river if your drivers do not have GPS. Driver could not find our location and the food would have been cold after an hour of driving around. Probably best to eat in or pick up for the time being. Only giving 1 star so people are aware...
