Off Main Market — Local services in City of Canandaigua

I love Off Main Market! It is run by two amazing people, Pui and John, and they make the most delicious and authentic Thai food in the Finger Lakes and upstate New York. Having a meal made by Pui makes you feel loved. She is meticulous and creative, watching her cook your order in the closet sized kitchen is a real privilege and joy. Even during a rush she is relaxed and calm, cooking three or four dishes at a time with confidence and efficiency. She does not rush anything yet it seems to take her no time at all. The amount of preparation she puts into each dish is not seen while the shop is open but you can taste it. The complex, delicate and delicate flavors from all over Thailand are present in every dish. In addition to the hot food, there is a refrigerator and freezer filled with prepared items and home staples ready to cook at home like a Pad Thai kit, papaya salad, dumplings, Pui’s homemade curries, chicken satay, local eggs, Ithaca tofu and more. The other pantry items are all things John and Pui either use at home or have tried and highly recommend for home cooking. Things like Rancho Gordo beans, Thai sauces and condiments, various salts, Jasmine and sticky rice from Thailand, Japanese stone bowls and a myriad of other goods adorn the shelves. Part of what makes Off Main Market so wonderful is seeing Pui and John every week. You feel like a friend stepping into their house, they ask about what you are up to and make you feel welcome. I really love talking to them and am grateful to be able to support such a wonderful business! Please note that the last order is taken at 4:30PM Tuesday through Friday and at 2:30PM on Saturday. I can't believe I've never written a review for this place...if I could give a thousand stars, I would!! The food is always phenomenal (no exaggeration) and John and Pui are some of the nicest people too! My dad has some pretty strange allergies, and they've been so so accomodating every time. They never act like it's a bother at all, even though I know it takes extra work on their part. It's always very appreciated

A great little market serving hot dishes! The food is beyond amazing. I haven't ever had anything from this place I didn't like. The Cashew Nut Chicken, the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Pad Kee Mao, Moo Ping, Crispy Spring Rolls, Curry, Kapow, it doesn't matter because it's all amazing. Their menu changes daily for their hot food.
