In the past, the customer service at this Verizon store had been consistently positive. I've always been very happy with whom I dealt. For one thing, they greeted customers with a smile and seemed to want to help the customer. My experience today was anything but. The rep (whose name I unfortunately didn't get) was surly, curt, testy, and unfriendly. Not even a smile when I walked in. He acted like he hated his job and certainly did not represent Verizon well. He seemed perturbed and impatient with my tech-related questions and checking my plan. Another customer came in and, instead of finishing with me first, he proceeded to help the other guy initially and then went back and forth between us. Initially, I was friendly when I first walked in ... as I always am ... but his poor attitude and flippancy was so bad that I felt increasingly angry with him. The other rep appeared much friendlier and I regret that I didn't approach him first, rather than this rep I dealt with. I noticed how nice and friendly he was to me and to another customer who came in after me. I was sitting there thinking "I wish I was working with him instead ". The guy I was stuck with provided the worst customer service I've had in a long time. In adfition to his objectionable attitude, he also gave me contradictory and confusing information about a couple issues that showed he also had difficulty communicating clearly. IF I ever return to this location, I will NOT work with him again. As I said, I didn't get his name but he was a huge fellow wearing a t-shirt, had dark curly hair, and, I believe, a beard. In retrospect, I hope his rudeness (compared to my experience with virtually every other rep in the past) wasn't due to the fact that I was wearing a rainbow t-shirt. I also mentioned that my "partner' and I share the same plan. Whatever the reason, he made...
Read moreAfter I awoke to find my phone had begun to exhibit signs of failure. Here's where Verizon displayed its mark of professionalism. I entered your Newark facility to be greeted by Seth D.. I explained my situation & need for the utmost in service & reliability. Seth masterfully displayed Verizon's wide array of offerings. And advantages of each selection. Your offerings for trade-ins...absolutely amazing! After my selection of Samsung Ultra 3, Seth was patient to explain to protective value of Liquid Glass as a screen protector, along with an Otter Case. His salesmanship exemplifies the hallmark of Verizon. I called your facility today and was greeted by Sarah. And again greeted with professionalism and answers to my inquiry. Once again Verizon has demonstrated why after 27 years of loyalty & professionalism, you remains the #1 telecommunications company in the...
Read moreIf I could give them a zero, I would. They're lovely as long as you're there to purchase something but if you need help or have an issue with a product, don't count on the same hospitality! Several people were lazy and quite rude when I gave them specific information and needed help with something. By the end of a day, on the phone and two trips there, my problem was finally resolved but only because I called corperate and they called the store. I am an easy going person and let many things go. This had to be done. By the end of dealing with this store, I severed my 10 year relationship with Verizon and went with another carrier. BTW, if you own your phone Singular Cellular is half the price of these guys. Several of my friends have switched because they've dealt with this store or heard how bad it can be! Stay far away for your own...
