I Graduated Here. I also Gained More Class Credits After as Alumni Also.
ā FYI: Call Before Going. Or Visit the Website. I Was Here and the Sign I Actually Took a Picture of So I'll Add That.
When I First Went to College in 2011 I Went to New Paltz for Electrical Engineering. I Switched here to Criminal Justice. That Degree Allowed me to Pass and Obtain a Job with the City of Middletown Police Department which they do offer Ride Alongs, Last I Attended, For A Credit Course. I Chose Golf for Gym and the One You Can Do Online, Health Related. I Wanted to Do it Fast but Proper. I Got Permission, They Are GREAT HERE, to Take 24 Credits in a Summer... Yes 24... I Passed. It Allows you to free Up Time Online (Great System) and Learn at Your Own Pace. The Newburgh Student Services I Always Preferred but being a Former Employee for the City Police Department I Like the Variety and Ability to Meet People at the Department. Network. In a Meaningful Way. I Personally Felt Like the People there Were Family While Working. Led by New Chief Eiwancu I probably Spelled that Wrong but he is a Good Man and Cares for the City, it's People, of all Cultures Sincerely, and Among Chaotic Times I Highly Recommend, if Given that Opportunity to Choose Middletown. It is no Town PD. It's Not for Everyone. But Everyone there Has Everyone's Backs and for those this Doesn't Apply their Lobby Would be a Perfect Place if for Some Reason you Were in Danger as Would Calling if in the College or City.
They Keep Peace Better Than Probably any Other Similar Budgeted Pd I've Seen. Or at Minimum do Try. So I'm Saying this College is Safe and the Police are Friendly because I've had Priveledge to Know Many.
FYI New Paltz is Now Offering a Much Closer than Buffalo, Mechanical Engineering! Planning on doing the Associates Here at SUNY Orange. There is an Associate's here I Believe Engineering Tech that Essentially Fills 2 years of Your Bachelor Degree at Low Cost and They TRULY Help You Get Jobs or Help in a Practical Sense. Limited more from these Times.
But the Classes Always Transferred Seamlessly Including Otherwise Lost Classes because it's the SUNY System. Same Core Curriculum Excluding Exceptions in More Science or Medical (Great Nursing Program) DiplomasIt's Cost Effective, Sometimes Free, and Saves Money but is Respected because of Great Programs at Community Colleges that Transfer.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a regional admissions director, overseeing 4 nursing homes in our communities. I have worked in a nursing facility this entire pandemic. I have assisted the hospitals from the tristate area all the way up to Wappingers falls. 2 of my sisters are nurses, so Iāve decided to follow suite especially all that I have overcome working during this entire pandemic. With that said, I planned to start my journey with SUNY orange, my sister and I planned to study our nursing degree together. However, I never made it. I received a message from the finance Dept of SUNY orange stating I need to pay $1800 or my classes would be dropped, I did not have the 1800 and I was really busy with the world, I told myself, disappointed, everything happens for a reason. My sister started her classes without me , January 25th, 2021. Iām alongside her thinking next year Iāll have the 1800. Come March, SUNY orange calls me to tell me Iām failing, I inquired and explained that I hadnāt attended one class due the message I received from finance about my classes being dropped. They wait until March ? No teacher could have called me to tell me Iām missing class!? I qualify for financial aid and tap, Iām a single mother of 3, the other parent being deceased. Finally, SUNY wants to charge me almost 4K for the semester I didnāt even attend because of their message regarding payment or dropped classes. Iām seeking a lawyer and reporting this to the state. Because why would someone who qualified for grants take advantage and not attend class. On top of that, the sister I was supposed to study with is on the deans list of this school! My family and I come from responsibility , integrity , passion and respect. I feel like theyāre trying to take advantage of me and thatās cruel, I only didnāt attend because they said classes would be dropped if...

I have been here for a year and a half now and still have no clue as to what I need or what is even required of me besides a concepts of physical wellness class. When I bring up I want to change my major I was directed to someone else when all I wanted was the form to actually change my major. When I did meet with my advisor last year to make my schedule for this semester every time I had a question he rolled his eyes and gave me an attitude so I blindly picked my classes by myself with no help. 2.) one of my professors refuses to show me my grade, made it clear not everyone ādeservesā to be in college, makes it clear homework can only hurt your grade but cannot help it, gives little to no instruction but gets upset and claims the class is ādisrespectingā him when we mess up, I was taking our midterm this week and a student walked in 15 minutes late smelling of HEAVY weed and he did absolutely nothing, it was very distracting and annoying, 3.) I have learned absolutely nothing in the last 1.5 years. Iām Trying to navigate through the transfer process by myself because I know i wonāt get any help from staff. This school is an...
