Put a living room set on lay a way and when I went back to pay it off, the set was discontinued . It's all computerized, the company should know how many are reserved. Then I pick out another set, not real happy with it but I need furniture and it's $400 more .REALLY. Anyway, this guy Danny, was awesome with me .He met me 1/2 way on the extra and waved delivery fees. Now it's delivery day ...I get a call to confirm delivery and I missed the call so I call them back. The guy answers the phone hello...not American freight, not hello this is so and so but hello. Now I tell him why I'm calling, and he says ok hold on....comes back yup they are going to deliver "sometime today". Well thanks bud, but I knew that much. Now at 11:45am I get a call from the delivery guy, he says we will be at your house in 15 minutes, are you aware of an $85 delivery fee? I tell him that Danny waived my delivery fee .he says let me call him and see. He calls me back and says nope, that I have to pay the fee. By this time I am Very agitated so I tell the guy ok no prob, I have things to do. I'll just pay the fee. But then I call and speak with Danny, and he says oh yes, your fee is waived, I'm going to let the guys know right now . Ok cool Now I'm waiting, remember the guy said 15 minutes at 11:45am and Now it's 1pm and I have a work meeting at 1:30. So I call Danny back and he says"oh I cancelled that delivery (with the outside company) and my guys are bringing it later. Oh ok Danny, when we're you going to tell me this? So I proceed to let him know I have a work thing but my son, sister and nephew are all going to be at the house. Ok no problem, or so I thought . Well needless to say, I'm driving the throughway and I get a call he says " hello, I'm the delivery guy from american freight, I'm outside your house. So I proceed to tell him I am driving on the throughway and to please knock on the door . NO COMMUNICATION.....After all this I do have my furniture but the whole experience was...
Read moreWhere do I start....well first I purchased a sofa & loveseat and bedroom set someone decided to make the smart decision of placing my merchandise on two separate trucks. So both delivery crew was expecting a $80 delivery fee. The store did clear it Up for me quickly I was told I would have same day delivery which the sofa set did come a little late but was within the same day the bed however was a different situation I received a phone call at 12:30 in the morning from the delivery crew informing me they had 1 more stop before me and they would be to my address after. Like who delivers furniture at 1am ?? I don’t think furniture should be delivered after the store has closed in case there’s a problem and the customer needs to contact the store. So I informed them I was Laying down and no delivery was happening at that time of morning. So I had to wait the whole next day for my bed to arrive about a hour before store closing time 7pm only for it to be the wrong bed. I was informed the actual bed I had picked was not in stock in my color choice and that I could keep the one I had until the actual one comes in but there’s no way I was putting together a bed only to take it apart, I was offered a full refund or to pick something else. I asked can I get the floor model he agreed and ask when I wanted it delivered of course I wanted it the next day which was impossible because he stated they had 30+ deliveries At this point I agreed to just bring the bed in myself and pick up the floor model. Gino did offer me money for being able to bring it in & a discount off the floor model which I appreciated. when I got to the store however more problems than I have time to list occurred. Everything from stripped screws to missing hardware. I will say They have a good selection and are price reasonably. The crew is very helpful but not knowledgeable I will say that. they are unorganized and definitely dropped the ball on my experience.they deserve 2 stars but since I’m such a nice...
Read moreI stopped in to purchase a sectional that I seen on their website, but is only available in the store. I didnt even walk in the building yet and this guy came outside just a bit past the garage door and asked if I needed help. How can I need help yet, Im not even in the building. Everyone was leaning against the counter playing on their phones. I ended up Walking around looking for the sectional that I seen on line, and when I couldnt find it, I went up to the guy he had no clue if they had it and then he just yelled out do we have a 4140, it was the only sectional with out a price tag. When he showed me I started talking to him about the 50 buck take it home, he said I need to put down 54 bucks, I said I will put down 200, and he said no its better with just the 54 bucks and then pay it off in 101 days. I was going to pay for it up front anyway. I was just curious. then I asked about delivery, he told me 75 bucks to go 5 miles. Before I went there I checked to see if they have a military discount and from the sites I have seen they do offer it 10% and 15% on veterans day. But when I asked about it, he told me no, its already discounted. Then I told him Im not interested anymore, the delivery fee was just too much money. So, I turned to start walking out, he said what kind of car do I have I told him I have an accent (tiny 4cyl. car) he said we have tie down service and can tie it to my car. Are you serious....Tie it to my car and drive down the Blvd, So at this point I was offended and taking my business else where. While at the light waiting to turn to go home...he ran to my car saying if I buy the couch he can do delivery for 50 bucks, but it will have to be after work hours. I dont get offended easily but this guy was just plain rude, I was offended by his tone and actions / words. He made me feel so uncomfortable. Worst time there, and it all occurred with in 15 min.
